Review: The Pole Machine Has a Serious Need For Speed
@WAKIdesigns: It's all relative to speed though. At slower speeds a 'normal' bike will probably feel more "playful" but at higher and higher speeds, that playful bike will start to feel skittish and scarier to ride. At high speeds, the Machine feels super playful yet still in control (I own one). So I guess it depends on how fast you like to go ;)

Review: The Pole Machine Has a Serious Need For Speed
Unless you sit down while flying down descents, I'm not sure how this would make any difference. :)

Review: The Pole Machine Has a Serious Need For Speed
If there wasn’t Huck Norris front and rear, I’m guessing that would help with the weight numbers. That’s a burly setup! I’m willing to bet it would be within 1.5lb of the carbon Scott without tire inserts plus the extra sealant that goes along with it.

So far I’ve never had an issue with that on my Machine. You’d think it would be a problem — and maybe it would be if I were riding through mud holes — but so far so good in normal muddy conditions.

Bike Check: Joe Nation's Pole Stamina
While I was out in Madeira taking photos and video for Pole (a few of which are in this article, which was a surprise to me haha), I got to do a couple of laps on this bike. It pedals so well, which was an odd thing to experience. Super fun and fast bike, that's for sure. With beefy tires and Huck Norris installed, it still didn't feel like a heavy bike when I lifted it up, but it was never properly weighed when I was around. Can't wait to try it out again sometime! Here's a video I posted from that day: https://youtu.be/Sh5CTJBEENI

Pinkbike's Editors Choose Their Ideal Geometry Numbers - Vote For Your Favorite
I've ridden the Pole Stamina prototype (pretty close to Paul's numbers) and can say that that 180/180 bike pedals as well as my 140mm bike. It's quite something. If you don't lose anything while pedalling, why not have the extra travel? I only had two days on it, so this isn't a be-all/end-all review or anything, but from the limited time I had with it, I'd say that if there ever was a true quiver killer, the Stamina is it.

It has one but the shock is turned sideways so you can’t see it.
