Russ Crofton's Handmade Full Suspension
That's a really cool project. It would be cool to see him be able to finish the design some day with an existing brand where they could attach this story to the bike.

Diamondback's Carbon Release 5c – Review
Hell yeah buddy! That's a bad ass story. I had a GT performer (80's model) when I was a kid in the 90's, I could not kill that bike. It was better than me in every way really. My dad still rocks his DB Sorrento from the early 90's too, solid bikes. Im glad to see them coming back into their own.

26" Rockshox XC/30/TK 100mm (with heavy duty spring)

$100 USD
1 1/8th" straight steer tube 9" long star nut installed. 100mm Travel coil shock RockShox "Black" spring installed (good for riders up to 220 lbs according to their chart. This is their firmest spring) Standard QR DISC ONLY Features a lock out and adjustable rebound. Background: This fork came off of my 2012 Motobecane Train Fantom DS. I bought the bike used from a guy who used it on local fire roads for a season and bought a new bike. I rode it with this fork for about half a season until I scored an air fork. This fork has been hanging on my wall for about 9 months. Everything works as it should. I added a red zip tie to the right stanchion for measuring sag and monitoring travel. This is a pretty solid fork for medium sized riders, (I'd say a 180-200 lb-ish guy/gal/or other could thrash on it pretty hard with good results, I'm 225-245 depending on time of year and recent level of self control, which is why I swapped to an air fork.) feel free to message me with any questions or trade offers. Items I will trade for: 6.5" rear shock ( I will need to see pictures and background info, I have limited experience with these so Ill have to research the part before agreeing to a trade) Fork for a 24" with 1" threaded steer tube (rigid Preferred, but may consider lighter weight suspension fork. This would be for my daughters bike, which has a disgustingly heavy "suspension fork" on it.... shame on you Trek) High quality flat pedals ( I prefer black but color is not as important as condition.) quality 24" youth bike suitable for 9-10 year old. ( My daughters bike is heavy AF and my sons bike is slightly lame... both could use an upgrade. MTB preferred, but open to all) women's cruiser type bike for short ladies(5'-3", I have given up trying to get my wife to like mtb... accepting tips and condolences as well.)

Mountain Biking Is Not a Crime - Opinion
@vernonfelton: In reading more of the replies to the article it really sounds like it is a universal problem in throughout the entire Bay Area. At least we have Crockett... for now.

Shit, we might be from the same part of the Bay area. Sounds an awful lot like the deep east bay. "Driving no less than 40 minutes when there's miles of trails 20 pedal strokes away" That is the song of our people, we the oppressed riders of the East Bay Regional Parks district.

Just bought a used Marzocchi EXR pro air from Cycle10Ian and I am very pleased. The item was received as described and in better condition than I expected a used fork to be in(it was practically new). Ian was patient and kind (I forgot to give him my shipping address at first) and he gave me a very fair deal on the fork.
