Interview: Slope Prodigy Patricia Druwen & Mentor Erik Fedko
Saw them both riding at RB District Ride last year, Erik is a super nice dude and you could Patricias progress over the weekend. She was barely 15 and I was really impressed.
Can't wait to see what they both deliver in 2024 and it sucks that the next event in Nürnberg is probably not before 2025.

Must Watch: Gee Atherton Rides More Exposed Lines in 'Ridgeline IV: The Dolomites'
I actually sat here for 24 hours contemplating if I should watch it. To come back from this monumental injury just to participate in DH WC again, go to Rampage and squeeze that Sequence in between makes me speechless.
The need to produce some media output is one thing, the personal need to conquer your demons which he probably had after the accident is another. I understand the feeling that you still got stuff to do, to come back and push yourself to the absolute limit while risking your life just to show the meek like us what can be done if you want it enough.
Breathtaking and stunning lines, scenery and quality but holy moses.

I can definitely relate to you saying this - now throw some kids in the mix and its get even more complex. While I never was anywhere near to being a freerider or whatever, once you got a family the implications of a serious injury while doing some sketchy stuff out in the wild take on a new level.
So being able to stand up and say "I am not gonna ride this" may take more balls than the acceptance you don't have to look cool in front of your buddies but only you know what you are willing to "risk" or not.
I am a big fan of Kyle and some other older dudes from the 90s to the early 00s and simply happy they stay around.

Throwback Thursday: Kranked 5 Turns 20
Back in 2003 my ridiculously overforked Giant NRS frame crapped out and I got a Specialized Enduro which I rode for 15 years.
Nowadays most of the bikes in the movie are considered unrideable ... 26" still rules.
