Has anyone gone downhill riding in arizona???? Ya didn't think so because there is none !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please vote flag so there can be some downhill in az!!!!!! I live in tucson so it would still be a 4 hour trip but thats better than 12hrs to anglefire

Isn't flag going for bike park?
  • 9 2
Flagstaff would be so rad! I don't live there anymore but I'd love to go back and ride a sick bike park they need one desperately.

Ya man, we've got a few pretty rad DH trails, but with the amount of elevation change in the immediate area, we could have a huge scene. We've also been trying to get the AZ Snowbowl to permit lift access riding, but have thus far been unsuccessful. I feel like if we could get this, and show people that a properly maintained trail network can be profitable AND sustainable, we'd have a chance at finally cracking into the lift access game, and with our elevation change, we could have some truly killer riding!

Get out the shovel and grab a crew!

Nahhh man, I think Santa Cruz REALLY needs the support... there's hardly a bike scene there! Wink

I grew up riding in Reno/Tahoe; to compare Flagstaff has some of the most steep, technical, and demanding DH trails ive ever ridden. The bicycle community is HUGE here and a bike park is much needed!!

 SANTA CRUZ
  • 12 3
I think Santa Cruz would be best choice, not just for California, but all of the states. California is usually the leader in environmental policy, and if we can make this work, attitude can change leading to favorable policy towards mountain biking. Also, props to Bell for spending money on providing more trails for mountain biking.

 well said

Flagstaff needs this so much! Most under appreciated riding scene in the southwest, with the potential to rival dang near anywhere in the country. We NEED more exposure!

I visited flag for a day back in august. Fell in love immediately. I assumed there would be some sick trails in the area. I'll Definatly vote for you guys cause there's awesome potential and I wanna move out there!

 Stafford Lake Bike Park!!!!
  • 11 3
Stafford Lake all the way!!! Marin needs a legal place to shred!!
  • 1 0
Santa Cruz sure could use a legal, progressively designed trail that's suitable for riders of all abilities. The trail's an excellent example for how local mountain biking enthusiasts and land managers can work together to build new trails in a sustainable way, and it would further cement Santa Cruz as an epic destination for mountain biking. Demo Flow Trail deserves votes!

vote holiday valley when you can so much potential and really need it there!!
  • 2 0
I would love more trails in Western New York! So much potential!
  • 11 10
Santa Cruz has enough great riding as it is, and flow trails are just glorified dirt sidewalks. A bike park at Stafford would be awesome!
  • 10 2
The majority of the trails around SC that are worth riding are actually illegal.......
  • 4 2
Exactly Highrevkev. But arguing about which project deserves the vote is stupid. Just vote for the one that you think you will ride the most.
  • 3 1
I completely agree....but the biggest problem I see is that the vote is split between 2 of the trails in the SF bay area, if there was only one trail to vote for we would be in the lead
  • 3 1
need more votes for stafford and demo forest They will definitely get the most use and appreciation.
  • 4 1
well sense no one els said it, Vote for prescott park!!
  • 4 1
they all look like great projects but my vote is for Prescott Park...Looks like a solid project and it would be nice to see the smaller clubs with growing scenes get support!

  • 5 4
The Santa Cruz trail is already funded and damn near done. Give it to Flagstaff. They need it way more.
  • 1 0
This is actually far from true. We have a LONG way to go in raising funds and still have most of the trail to complete. We need funds, exposure and manpower in order to finish this meticulously crafted 4 mile feature-laden trail that swoops through the redwoods! Thank you everyone who is supporting the DEMO FLOW TRAIL, you rock!!!! And good luck to ALL the finalists in this project!
