[Updated] XC Start List: Snowshoe XC World Cup 2022
I was surprised how many American women were in the XCC and I guess this explains it - looks like a ton of Europeans didn’t consider the trip across the pond worth it. I can’t blame them. A 6+ hour flight followed by a 3-4 hour drive to the venue from the airport. I realize an east coast venue makes the most sense for a mostly European based sport, but I feel like there’s got to be a more convenient east coast venue than Snowshoe. I wish so badly they’d bring back Colorado World Cups but that’s an even bigger ask travel wise :(

Anyone have a clip of Nino’s crash? Seems like they had multiple cameras on the bridge but only showed one replay during the race that didn’t show it well.

They mentioned they were having technical difficulties, which is why the women’s start was 5 minutes late. I assume the lights were the problem, hence the whistle starts. And I’m assuming the company broadcasting the race and the company managing the race logistics are two different things. Not sure how start light malfunctions are a reflection of the camera crew?

She makes great points regarding comments about women's weight, but to be fair, I hear commentator mention men's weight a lot as well. Especially in road racing. They mention how lean riders look (or don't look) especially early in the season all the time. It's all unnecessary. Body image and results do not correlate.

He announced on his Instagram that he'll be that Brazil World Cup. Not sure if that means he'll do the whole series, but he definitely has MTB goals this year.
