im trying to figure out a way to get there 'quickly' to reduce number of vaca days i need to take, but damn its a pretty remote spot. gotta just take the whole week off and make the drive...anyone from the bay area wanna carpool?
The pricing on this event is absolutely on par with other events of this caliber. And WAAAY cheaper than BC bike race, Trans Provence... come on guys, be smart. How much do you pay to do a DH race? Now imagine 3-4 DH races per day, running near simultaneously on marked courses, and in the back country? These events take a small army.
Ever register for Breck 100? Firecracker 50? Leadville 100? (I have.) The per day cost of approx $120 is reasonable.
If you have the knowledge to offer an equal or better product for a more approachable price, go for it, I'm sure it will be very popular.
Not saying where it started, but too get you guys started....

Love CB... Thank you to old-school moto riders for pioneering the super-flowy XC trails MTBers now pretend they made (same with Fruita). The Evolution Bike Park is super fun too. I'm super pumped the Winter Park Season Pass comes with 3 free days of riding the Evo Park! It's going to be a great Summer!
I'm holding out for the super-duper uber ultra endure.
CB is the cats meow BTW. It's a lot like college, but without all of the classes or homework and everyone's really really really good looking!

Experiences are WAY more valuable than bikes.
