Have Your Say on the Ever-Changing Bike Standards
Anyone from the UCI going? Much as i think the rules for road & track cycling hold back progress you can probably fit a 2017 road bike groupset to a 15year old frame and vise versa. which ultimately makes road cycling a cheaper sport to get into. I'm sure there is a middle ground where competition rules can help generate a frame work in which bike company's can innovate. (works for other sports.)

YT Capra Pro Bos euduro 650b !Ideal Christmas present!

!!!Lowest price!!! YT Capra Pro medium 650b 27.5 Light weight very high spec 170mm travel enduro trail bike. I have owned this bike from new and I’m very sad to say good bye to my much loved Capra This is an awesome bike it’s a race ready spec. It’s as capable on the down hills as my old downhill bike and light enough and efficient enough to pedal back to the top it really is a spot on bike and ideal if you want to race some #Enduro or have a bike you can ride trail centres and downhill tracks on. (I’ve done all of these and its perfect) Bad Bits / Service History: The paint has worn in several places from general use (my legs rubbing on frame, strapping of my bike lights battery pack and cable rub) none of this affects the integrity of the frame however. Chain has worn the carbon a bit by the drop out but hasn’t caused any issues. Wheels are chipped and scuffed but nothing more than to expect from normal wear and trade. Rear Brake pads part worn. Generally the normal wear and tear you should expect on a used bike. Fork decals worn where mudguard zip ties have been fitted. The paint has cracked around the chain guide mount on the bottom bracket this happened on all the early capras it just paint and not structural has been like this for well over a year and had no problems. Front wheel bearings could do with a re grease but ridable. (- this and replacing the rear brake pads are the only thing I foresee needing attention in the near future) Front tyre is well worn Back tyre has loads of life left in it (Front set up tubeless back has a tube in it at the moment if but tubeless valve will be included) I have a couple of spare tyres I’ll include one Mavic rear tyre that came on the bike (despite its bad reviews it a pretty good summer trail tyre) and a Continental rear tyre (racesport – I found the tyre wall to thin, couldn’t run it tubeless and got pinches frequently with it but it’s yours if you want it) This bike has been the best and most expensive bike I have ever owned as such I have looked after it cleaning it after every ride (I keep it in my house, so my wife insists I do this…) I have replaced bearings in the rear wheel and the main pivot bearings a few months back as they had started to wear (using enduro sealed bearings) the reverb has just had a rebuild and new seals and top bushing. The forks went back to boss via YT for warranty rebuild and service a few months back No chips or scratches to sanctions (there is very slight wear at the bottom of the left sanction affect their performance at all, still got that characteristically buttery smooth small bump) , The chain ring has been replaced with the more durable (but heavier Sram steel ring, I’ll include the original part worn alloy ring) the shifter is X01 but the top cover vibrated off on a ride so I replaced the cover with a X11 one (- from what I can tell identical in every respect except logo and price…) the original chain guide broke so I replaced it with exactly the same LG one but in white. Front brake pads are 2 rides old, back ones are part worn. It has new bottom bracket just fitted never ridden. Reason for sale: Since I bought this bike I have started riding less DH and more cross country and even though it’s a great peddler the truth is a 29er will probably be more appropriate for me now. **I have a new bike so not interested in part exchanges.** Changes to original spec: Rear tyre: continental trail king protection black chilly 2.4” (original tyre also included) Chain guide: same as original but in white Shifter (plastic cover): X11 Grips: Specialized lock on’s (almost new) Chain ring: X11 (I’ll include the original worn but usable X0) (I can include the pedals but there my old spare ones and the bearings have a lot of play in them) !!! BARS AND STEM NOT AS PHOTOGRAPHED NOW WITH SPECIALIZED BAR AND STEM !!! Did I mention this bike is fast! Grab a bargain. Postage £35 (UK Mainland)
