by COMMENCAL bicycles

New platforms, new paint jobs, new trends! Over time, it's normal to gain wisdom and knowledge. Now, more than ever, we want to have fun with it...

We want to discover things, to travel.
We have to enjoy every moment.
We are hungry for adventure, for new experiences.
We demand to be surprised, and to surprise.

In fact, all this is normal. After all, we are only 20 years old!

The level of World Cup DH racing continues to increase. Our race bikes are constantly evolving because we're looking for those famous hundredths of a second that make the difference at the finish line.

Our SUPREME DH range (29'' and 27'') benefits from all our experience and now serves as a benchmark in the DH world.
The FURIOUS can also draw on the biggest names in its category, to ride the biggest lines.
Kyle Strait, Pierre-Edouard Ferry, William Robert and Conor McFarlance remind us what this bike can do every day!

SUPREME DH 27 & 29

Enduro is vast... Pure performance? Adventure? Emotion? Sharing the ride? A bit of everything? Everyone has their own definition of this practice. And for once, nobody is wrong! It’s everything and everyone can enjoy it. The possibilities are endless.

To have something for everyone, we offer three distinct variations.
The META AM 29, nicknamed “The Beast" by Yoann Barelli! The bike accumulates titles, both in the press and on the Enduro World Series. It’s just you and the bike who determine the limits.
The CLASH, exclusively in 27'', is the official Chill Zone bike. With 180mm of travel, it's capable of everything.
The META HT AM perfectly complements our offering. More affordable, it will please everyone's needs since it can be built with 29'' or 27’’ wheels.

Our e-bike range switches to BOOST mode. Two models with integrated batteries have landed. And you have a choice of wheel size in 29'' or 27''.

An e-bike for kids in 24'' is also coming. Don’t be jealous.
The MAXMAX POWER allows you to move around the city in style, but also to think outside the box when the opportunity arises.

The META TR has been around for years. For a while it was almost in the shadows of its the big brother, the META AM. It was last year, in 2019, that the frame was completely reworked to accommodate 29" wheels.

Overnight, the TR became a sensation in its own right!
This was confirmed thanks to MBUK awarding it Trail Bike Of The Year!
In 2020, it's back even stronger.

The Kids range is becoming more complete year on year.

The RAMONES features a reworked frame and disc brakes.
Also with a fresh frame design is the META HT Kids, which is inspired by one of our best sellers, the META HT AM.
The CLASH Kids range is coming too. Ideal for enduro sessions or lapping the bike park.
Not to mention the META HT 24 POWER that will revolutionize family rides with the kids!

Paul Couderc is a rising star in the world of Dirt. Behind the bars of his ABSOLUT, he's achieved the best performances of his young career. Firstly for him, but of course also for you, our engineers have completely revised this legendary frame. The result is convincing. The images speak for themselves.

No mid-travel trail 27? The Clash is way too much bike for most trail riding, even the Meta AM 29 is a lot for not-racing. Meta TR 29 looks great, but what about short people that don't want to butt buzz the tire constantly? Or just anyone that might prioritize quickness\maneuverability over momentum\roll-over? Commencal's range is usually quite broad (all those kid's bikes!), but this seems like a decent sized gap in the line up.
  • 8 2
Agree, seems like a big gap not having a 150-160mm travel 27.5 bike in the lineup. 27.5 aint dead yet....
  • 5 2
I just switched my 26" Meta HT to the Meta TR 29 british edition, and the transition was so smooth. It is so quick and agile and cornering is even better, especially in bumpy stuff. I can only recommend you try it out.
  • 6 5
I have switched my 26'' bike to Meta AM 29 few weeks ago and there is NO quickness\maneuverability to give up, on the contrary, this bike corners much better than 26 bike. So I understand them completely, the only thing which would mandate use of 27.5 wheels would be park riding with whips and stuff, otherwise, there is absolutely NO benefit od 27.5 inch wheels ...
  • 2 0
@lkubica: How about butt buzzing! They are representing the smaller riders, but not the small adult riders! Would have bought a new meta tr 27 but now going with a Canyon Spectral instead.
  • 1 0
And the Clash doesn't come in size small. Would have been my new bike too :'(
  • 18 1
Interesting that the meta am 27 is not back for 2020
  • 14 0
I think you need to bring back the supreme SX but with 29 wheels and current geo! You’d sell thousands. That was an amazing bike. Ahead of its time.
  • 4 0
 Yes please
  • 15 0
We were just getting on with 27.5", and here comes Commencal with 27" ffs.
  • 1 0
650b is closer to 27" so not really inaccurate calling it that. 650a is closer to 27.5"
  • 6 0
I just looked at all of them yesterday. The Meta TR Origin for 2699 is actually a nice looking bike. They also upped the prices on all their bikes but the components are basically identical to 2019 (other than the new SLX and XT range).

I do have to say I like A LOT of their new colours.
  • 3 0
They've done a great job with the colours. They aren't super "LOOK AT ME" but work really well. So much better than the other brand that release bikes today Smile
  • 9 2
 Ebikes for kids, eh?
  • 3 0
 No more Tow Rope!!!
  • 3 0
Please explain "In 2020, it's back even stronger." in regards to the Meta TR?

Seems this article would've been a great place to highlight improvements.
  • 21 0
 2020 is a larger integer than 2019.
  • 4 0
Beautiful range of bikes! Wouldve loved if they kept the 27.5 Meta AM though..
  • 2 1
Video is great (as usual) and the colors look great, but kinda disappointed with the specs. No proper XT/SLX builds, no reduced offset fork options. So hoping they'd take a page out of Propain's book and allow to upgrade selected components on the builds.
  • 4 0
I'll go ahead and correct myself, the Meta AM 29 essential seems to have a pretty sweet XT/SLX spec!
  • 3 0
Range looks great but but the press-fit BB puts me off. Are there advantages to this? Seems a bit annoying to your average home mechanic.
  • 2 0
The black and gold signature frames to match the kashima shocks look glorious. It's a shame there's no 27.5 meta AM, but I guess that makes the decision between it and the clash a bit easier for me
  • 5 2
Pretty disappointed that they gave up on the 650B Meta. I loved that bike, but there's no way I'm buying a 16 kg 29er.
  • 4 2
You are making a big mistake, just bought that 16kg 29er and it's great.
  • 1 0
@lkubica: I don't know man, where I live it's steep ascents only, I have to pedal that thing around! If I did shuttle only or was a heavier dude with more power in my legs, I'd consider it Wink
  • 1 0
@zimtsticker: Bike weight has little to do with steepness of ascents. I used to have 15kg bike, now have a 16kg bike and it climbs steeps better, because Meta has good geo and very calm suspension when climbing. Weight is a factor, but much less than geo and suspension, especially in the steep.

 Love my Supreme SX...

Who hurt you? Did some gang of e-bikers beat you up in the forest? Why do you care about what others ride?
  • 5 2
@Pavel-Repak: @Pavel-Repak: Because the company spends its production capacity on it. Instead, it could have released models with wheels 27, as riders want from her.
  • 2 1
 Great looking bikes.
I guess the furious is the park bike.
How about the clash? What is the idea behind that bike when compared to the meta am?
  • 1 0
Smaller wheels, (slightly) longer travel, different frame shape
  • 3 0
Pound-for-pound, are these the best bikes on the market?
  • 5 6
@COMMENCALbicycles I am disapointed, SLX build that I would buy is in my opinion ugly AF, hate blue colored frames with skinwall tyres. Only pretty one is red with chalk grey, also for a-la carte builds there is no Shimano option, only SRAM, not to mention ugly frame colors. Will you release new colors and builds in the future or this is it for the next year?
  • 2 0
Oh look, the base builds include SX Eagle. Has this even been formally announced by SRAM yet?
  • 1 0
What's up with the 80's Nintendo water graphics on the top and down tubes? hopefully those are just stickers and can be removed?
  • 2 0
Commencal should put together a "Quiver Deal" - buy a DH bike / Enduro bike together at a discount, or Trail / Superenduro.
  • 2 1
The Absolut and Meta Power 29 are on my list this yr. Great new colors, Commencal! Thank you!
  • 1 0
Please make a xxl Meta 29! I'd buy one in a second if they existed, great looking bikes.
  • 1 0
Wonder if you could build the Meta TR light enough to do double duty as a sort of marathon bike?
  • 1 0
Meta HT is I want the most but it's awesome that I can't find this frame in my bye
  • 4 5
I kinda like the ebike for kids idea. It means that adults could ride closer to adult speed with the kids. But I would need to sell my bike to buy one.
  • 1 0
That video gets the blood going in all the right places
  • 1 0
If they ever make an XC bike I'll be first in line!
  • 1 0
I like that Supreme downhill bike actually.
  • 1 0
I wish someone could comment on how the Clash rides...

I wish some publication would do a damn review of it

An aluminum frame and no threaded BB, WTF. Makes absolutely no sense. Get it right for the bros!
