Teaming up with Shane McLachlan to film the McDowell brothers was as much of an adventure as it was film project. The day of filming started out rather smoothly as we captured footage without problems. The day had gone almost too well and finally coming out of the trees at the bottom of the trail we ran into a river with no bridge. The bridge which we assumed to have been washed away by recent flooding, was nowhere to been seen, leaving us to carry bikes and thousands of dollars in electronics over the swift current. Luckily the voyages went smoothly and we were able to bring you this edit with nary a damaged lens cap.

Yup, the bridge was indeed washed away in the flood and the local trail society is on it. If anyone wants to help out the best thing is to check out www.mmbts.com to get in touch and learn more.

The riverbed is dry now, so you can walk across the rocks. When the water does come back you can always hike to the bridge that is further up Ing's mine road, couple hundred meters past the old TDub/SHAFT exit.
