Ab·stract
/abˈstrakt,ˈabˌstrakt/
- Existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence.

Abstract is my mixtape. Collecting footage for a year on my own time and allowing myself to try new things. Experimenting with different ideas and songs. I try not to take things too seriously, making a project for myself because it's what I love to do. Spent a lot of time making this one, hope you enjoy it!

Music (In Order):
Enigma - Panda Dub
Golden Arrow - DARKSIDE
Last Train - Allen Troussaint
Ages - Incredible Polo
Launch - Vandeluz, Marc 7
That's Life (Live at Dallas Memorial Auditorium 1968 ) - James Brown
You're The One - PLÜM
Wonder Dummied - Brooke Waggoner
Ballade -Bakermat

This is exactly what pushes cinematography forward, especially with regards to mtb. No restrictions from companies to create a certain image, just pure creative freedom. So sick!

unbound by rules.. the art lives on. Beautifully constructed work. A one that should't disappear in to the back pages of the ole' internet..

Title is misleading. It’s 36 minutes because you have to watch it twice! Then again later, then a few more times...

Excellent cinematography, editing, and of course riding. Great choice experimenting with juxtaposing images in the first songs. And I'd love to see an edit using the color effects for just the backgrounds starting at 5:25. Very nicely done.

7:39 - 7.44. Had to stop myself throwing my laptop up against the wall in utter disbelief.
Sick riding all round and great videography. Love it, more, please.

Just fantastic! Truly clever and a real blast! I’m old enough to have seen all the old ones and this has me stoked in a way I’ve not been since the Alex Rankin days!
Well done Calvin!

I'm still watching this! I'm still completely blown away. I bought the soundtrack off iTunes. This is one of the best MTB films I've seen. This is ART. Such a journey. I feel like I'm part of the countless hours, and I would trade my last breath to be on that ridge with those guys in the closing shot. Calvin... this is.... just don't stop! This is better than anything I've seen. You're not just recording bikers riding bikes, you're capturing heroes doing something that they'll remember for the rest of their lives.
