First Look: 2024 Santa Cruz V10 & Suspension Chat with 'The Human Dyno'
It is a bit long, but there is a bit more leeway when you don't have the extra stack of a dropper post and a full sized saddle. My Canyon Sender size large has a 450 ST and I somehow have plenty of room even with 40mm or so of post sticking out (and I have short legs and I'm normally militant about having bikes with max 430 Seat tubes). With a low stack post and a small DH saddle you can make it work. They should do better though, a 455 ST is old school tall.

Field Test Review: 2024 Chromag Lowdown - The Speed Couch
Haha this is one of a few reviews I've seen this year that can be summarised as "oh yeah...horst-link... just kinda works really". Wonder if I'll ever bother with one of the fiddly diddly, co rotating, semi high mid pivot, 30 bearings all of different sizes, proprietary chain guide, twin idler thingies MTBs. Nah. Doubt it.

Capra, status, Sommet to name but a few. Plenty of budget shredders that are 80% as good as premium bikes for 40% of the price. There's still bikes to suit all budgets put there.

UCI Announces 2024 World Cup Calendar
Just curious. Did any other destinations put in a substantial bid for a race? Australia/New Zealand/States? If so id be curious as to the criteria for selection of one bid over another. Does anyone know where I can access this info? Quick Google doesn't turn up anything.

That M1....drool. My bedroom wall was covered in magazine cut outs of M1s through the years as a kid. There's something about DH bikes that need a helicopter to reach the bottom bracket that just does it for me!

Value Field Test: Specialized Status 160
I picked up a second hand S3 frame (5.10 tall) a couple of months back on a whim to build up a park bike. Lengthened shock stroke to get 170mm+ travel, boxxer 200mm with a 650b wheel in the front. Honestly blown away by it. Frame is really burly, uses the same bearing size throughout and everything is well sealed. Only issue I can see is with the drop in campy style headset there's no room to play around with anglesets. Fun, poppy, reliable, strong, cheap. I'm glad bikes like this exist. Nothing wrong with making bikes for a niche. There's plenty of stable bland bikes out there for those that want an all-rounder.
