Video: Josh Bryceland and the Waves Crew at Woody's Bike Park

by Cannondale Bikes

Living up to their name, the Cannondale Waves crew loaded up the van with Moterra Neo E-Mountain bikes and took to the coast. Hitting up spots along Britain’s Cornish coastline then cooling down at the beach had the boys chasing their own endless summer.

Sessioning into the sunset aboard the most capable E-MTBs meant no limits for effortless self-shuttles and playful descents – again and again.

bigquotesAfter a southern migration, we beached ourselves at Woody's Bike Park for a lovely sunny holiday. Boys threw down hard as always!Josh Bryceland

I was really enjoying the Sprung/Earthed vibes to that, then saw it was done by Alex Rankin. Awesome, more of that please.

Yes! Entire vid would have not been out of place in Sprung 4 (except better vid quality and newer bikes). Quality funk music, off bike antics, sick dirt jumps and excellent filming. More from Rankin please!

Damn I was going to make this EXACT comment, just 4 hours too late. The music, the imagery and a load of talented riders dicking around in the UK sunshine, had to be Alex Rankin. Noice. Those boys can really throw those heavy ass e-bikes around too. Fair play.

@veero: The old DH, Freeride and Freestyle BMX’s weighed the same but the talent these guys have I’m pretty sure they could ride almost everything!!

Just a bunch of lazy ass, fat people riding ebikes and cheating right?

 Yes..and no style whatsoever..

I keep mistaking the new kit for Specialized.

I've been thinking this. There must be a lawsuit coming
  • 1 0
@webbe: need to check your eyes. And specialized doesn’t own the color red

You are responsible for so much, James Brown. Thank you

Awesome riding, as always. But I wish Cannondale would rep the east coast a little more. As far as I know they are the only big company based in New England but they never have any edits from the area. I wish they'd do something at Highland or Killington or something.

well they allow josh and others to choose their own location to film, its not up to them i believe

Thanks @birdperson ... just a heads up, last year, Sam, Josh, (the other) Sam and Max toured the east coast of the U.S. for five weeks in a RV. Here's the edit - www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-dtET2EP4s - enjoy!

Yeah, but then people see all the great riding you have there, and they start coming out, and the next thing you know the trails are the next Pisgah -- overrun and overcrowded with tourist. Enjoy what you got going there. Invite a select few friends, and enjoy no crowds.
  • 1 1
@TheR: oh boo hoo. You think pisgah is overran? Haha

@santacruz-ing: You take this shit seriously, do you?

I was at Woody's yesterday. Booked an uplift only to be told that the uplift isn't running. They are still taking bookings for the uplift though.
  • 3 0
maybe this is exactly where the ebikes come in play? The DH riding with self-catering uplift... seems the bikes are like real mtbs these days, looking how they ride...
  • 2 0
@saladdodger: Yea maybe. Problem is they only told me on the day despite knowing that they aren't running the uplift. They will gladly take your money and not offer the service. Still waiting for my 'refund offer' email.
  • 2 0
@JonnyTheWeasel: they did the same thing to me mate... 7h drive down because at the time they and bmcc were the only ones offering uplift.

Very shitty
  • 2 0
@BigFerg: Yep - it would take them 10 minutes to update their website to tell people that the uplift isn't running. They could also tell people that they won't be serving refreshments.

Still no refund email either.

But why are these so damn expensive! I loved this video. That Montero 3 is 7800 CAD and the part spec is just terrible.

They always use the trail bike instead of the Jekyl, why would that be? I figured more travel would be better for them...
  • 2 1
The last Jekyl I rode had terribly high standover height. I guess the way the suspension is designed forces the top tube to stay that high for clearance but damn is it ever in the way. I could see these guys not liking that either and to me it really was 'that bad'. That bike needs a redesign to solve that and other issues in my opinion.
  • 2 0
@NebulousNate: Yep, i see! Actually looking at both bikes, this one looks way more mothern whereas the Jekyll looks a lot like early ages of enduro bikes... So i see your point!

 @joaoamaral66: lol I hope so!
