Opinion: Five Things The Bike Industry Could Do Better
So... after reading your comment again... What can we do to protect the consumer from obviously superfluous innovation while still encouraging innovation? I'd love to, but not trivial...

Dude, you just made the point that both are wrong, and it's all about balance. /Some/ roadies still argue about whether you are 'allowed' to have ice cubes in your drink when you are training seriously. They are still talking about whether disc brakes have any use case, never mind embracing disc brakes. Likewise, we all just love all the integrated headset cable guides, bio-pace rings, and ISIS bottom brackets on our mountainbikes. Ergo, it's not about being more traditional, like roadies, nor do the mtb product designers always get it right. It's, what a shocker, about the right balance. Because aren't we happy with disc brakes, droppers, and tube-less tires? And /some/ roadies (or gravellers) are rightly happy with us for that.

If it is news to you that capitalization of titles is a thing, you really haven't read a lot in English. There is a lot of it available on the "actual internet". Can't say French capitalization rules are very easy either: https://www.thoughtco.com/capitalize-french-titles-4086495 If you want simpler capitalization rules, try Dutch. That's probably the only thing simple about it, and nobody speaks it outside of our tiny country, but alas...

[Updated - Dante Silva Joins the Canyon CLLCTV DH Team] Round Up: A Complete Timeline of 2023 Team Moves
Hey @ed spratt, thanks for making this, but is this not more of a 'file dump' than an article? As it is basically a copy-paste of previous reports, most of which were written by the PR department of a team... :-( It could be so much better! You could include an index at the top, you could have made a table, or a table with links to the original articles, you could have promised to update this one until the beginning of the season... So many ways to make it a little better... Could I kindly ask you to make it better next time? Challenge you to? Beg you to? This was just a bit of a let down...

Tech Week 2023: Handguards, Expensive Winter Shoes, Luxurious Printed Saddles
@bikewriter: Hey, take it easy man... I was just pointing out that the winner of the 2022 EWS runs handguards, and was attempting to do so with a bit of humor. I'm sorry if it came across as too aggressive. You are free to beat me at biking anytime, with any gear you want, as long as you have fun riding! Ride on man...

Video: Joe Barnes & His Son Bo's Summer Mash Up
This is so gooooood! This is real biking. It's nice to see the wizards of the sport show their magic, but the essence of the sport, or even sport in general, is the fun we're having with it, and Bo is showing how that's REALLY done!

Abus Announces First Full Face Helmet - The 'Airdrop'
I'm torn. Helmets look cool and will probably be affordable. On the other hand, the people who own ABUS think that women are not suited to own stock or be a manager. And that's only what we know... I wonder what else they think: are women allowed to bike or would that be immodest, as you cannot wear skirts? Or is it just a product and should their religious ideas not matter? E.g. I would not like to buy from a Saudi company that does not allow women to buy their products... What do you think? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABUS#Family_ownership https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plymouth_Brethren
