bigquotesI've always grown up with dogs. Most of my friends are cat people and couldn't fathom why I would want to do a video with one of my huskies. Luna is the puppy of the household and has far too much energy. She constantly bugs us to throw a ball for her and the only way to stop her is to tire her out. Getting out for a ride with her is the best way to do this. Now any time I put my riding gear on Luna heads straight to the door in anticipation. - Jarrett Moore

Sweet vid, riding dogs rule, my boy doesn't use his brakes on the downhills though, we go everywhere together, he even goes up on the shuttle bus, names Maxxis, fast like the tires he's named after!
  • 17 0
Maxxis, awesome name! He can have two pups called Ardent and Highroller.

I thought this was going to be a vid of a man and his dog. Where's the dog most of the time? I must say though, Jarett's got style for miles, and he's got one good looking hound!

My beloved dog died 3 weeks ago with 11 years. I love you Tes, i'll always remember you, you were my best friend and you will always be in my heart!

Sorry to do this to you, but everyone who's lost a dog should read the poem 'The Power of a Dog', by Rudyard Kipling.

I have got more upset when my dogs die than quite a few relatives , truly depressing when they have to go...

I love riding with dogs, but have to admit, they're pulling me. Smile You know Malamuts. They can give me about 50km/h of speed and if my front tyre gets drift on snow, they will get me out of this. If I could have some smaller one for summer to chase me.

this video makes me miss my pups back home, props to this dude for getting his Siberian's attention long enough to follow him down a hill

my pug would probably get tired just watching me ride that trail.amazing video though!

My girl kaci loves the trails. Sadly she had a cruciate op and can no longer run for long periods. Which is a good thing....I got fed up of being reminded how slow I was by a 3yo staffy!

Never leave without my girl Maggie. Wolf/Husky cross. Best trail dog ever!
Here is a vid of her and I.

wicked vid, the riding is spot on, trail looks tidy. Can't believe the dog follows though my gf's husky bolts off where ever she wants!

Riding with your dog is like having a guaranteed riding partner. My beloved Endo died 3 weeks ago. He rode with me for 10 of his 13 years. Need to get another riding partner soon.
  • 1 0
I love this, my dog follows me down the trail, I need to get faster as she tries to bite my back tyre off lol

How the hell do you get your hisky to follow you? I own one at 6 months old and if he is let off his leash he sees a bird or rabbit and he is off !!
  • 1 1
Haha simple answer keep him on the leash.....
  • 4 1
Lots of treats and she's a bit of a chicken. Our older one Koda loves to go after anything and everyhing but we lucked out with Luna.
  • 1 1
 Trail dogs! 3
  • 3 0
Dog: "I better get at least ten treats for this stupid video" my goal in life right now is to get a dog that can follow me down trails like that. So much fun
  • 3 0
Get yourself a border collie then buddy. Mines is a rocket (both stupidity and speed)
  • 2 0
or rhodesian ridgeback. large breed able to run 40 km a day and fast
  • 2 1
If your pup is 6 months old, you should try letting him off leash but tuck one of his front paws in his collar. He will know that he is too weak to run off on his own, however, he will still be quick enough to keep up a moderate pace. Eventually he will just learn to stick close to you and will just associate you as his protector out in the woods. This sounds cruel but it is one of the best ways to train herding dogs to stay close, plus he will still be having a blast.
  • 2 1
my GSD wolf cross loves to run alongside me but gets distracted too easily and would probably kill me on a track like that. plus he scares people.

this video made me think where are trails like this in 5 miles radius from my home and why my dog always running straight under my front wheel
  • 3 0
same reason mine does it, he wants me to crash so he can eat me.
  • 1 0
Hahaha I actually laughed far too much at this
  • 1 0
That dog looks like he's about to stop even when he's running - probably been trained to stay behind the rider to avoid stealing the limelight :-)

Thinking about putting my GoPro on my dog while she runs behind me, has anyone tried that? Might be shaky
  • 1 0
I'm in the process, thru trial and error on trying to do this. Some DIY mounts so far. Nothing that I'm overly happy with yet. Thinking a dog harness with a chesty mount attached somehow to the harness..
  • 2 0
hahahhaa at the beginning, and trail dogs are awesome, way to trust Luna
  • 1 0
If I seen a dog like that running towards me it would improve my d.h times.
