Rider - Nick Tingren
Video - Eric Lawrenuk

One dark cloudy day on Vancouver's North Shore, Chromag rider Nick Tingren teamed up with local filmer Eric Lawrenuk to have some fun. 'Dank Stylus' is the result of their efforts. Nick Tingren has been riding a Stylus for over 5 years now. His riding style complements the bike perfectly.

@mattrix2: only if you’ve got some juice

@mattrix2: Half the people I know in Whistler have Chromags as their AM rig. Love my Sumurai!

@mattrix2: you're god damn right we do

@mattrix2: I ride mine more than my full suss. Makes you way better on a bike and if you ride a lot they’re great for getting out in poor conditions or just standard rides and saving your full suspension for best. I’d definitely recommend one for the winter at least.

Some pretty tight riding going on there! A bit of pop here, a nose bonk there and not to exaggerated in his movements on the bike— sweet!

Came on pinkbike hoping for a good hardtail edit. Was not disappointed. Will chromag ever make an edit that won’t make it on your favourites list?
  • + 2
Love the vid. But hope you got clearance from the builder for this as its a hidden gem that I would hate to see removed.

Nick actually helped with re-vamping parts of this trail before the winter hit
  • + 4
besides the trail being a nice piece of work, how did the builder get the elves to keep the moss off the planks during the winter?
I've eaten it so many times cause of plankmoss messing with my tires even at 17/18psi!

you have to be so good at riding to ride a HT like that...
  • + 2
 Truth.
  • + 1
 how good?
  • + 2
For much of the riding shown here on Pinkbike, you have to be good full stop. Just don't always look at your riding from a third person perspective. For coaching obviously that's great. But if you're just riding for fun, if it feels wild, ragged, your jumps feel huge and well, you feel you're on the edge of your abilities then that's what it is all about isn't it? Look at little kids rushing past with fire in their eyes, lofting off curbs and feel like superheroes. They don't take out the cycling computer to check their speed, a ruler to measure their drops and a camera to analyze their style. Having fun and feeling good is a goal in its own right. A hardtail just pops you off in that zone earlier. That is, at lower speeds and on less challenging terrain than where the full susser finally gets exciting.
