Didn't we have enough roost shots during the pic of the year?

He's gambling with this contest.... oh fuck now I'm using puns.
  • 3 3
There can never be enough roost!
  • 3 1
@RoostVillle: so do you go and rebuild every trail you destroy "roosting"?
  • 5 4
Agree. Irresponsible. Roosting shouldn't be encouraged. It's showboat and ridiculous.

@ryancrawcour: a requirement for the contest should be a follow up shot fixing the trail you destroyed. I know when I am out trailbuilding i will throw some skiddy turns then reshape, but I have a feeling I am in a minority there.

@ryancrawcour: And for peats sake would people stop riding so fast...geez...f'ing showboaters!

I'm confused. I don't have the movie as unfortunately it is not being offered in a format for my video device (a tv with dvd player, that is). But I do have the book, so all is good. In the book, Clay describes his dislike for short web videos and social media. And now Clay is calling us to make a small web edit and go all facebookinstagramtwitter about it. I guess what he really wants is us to go digging, send some roost, have someone take a picture, print it, send it through the mail (the real mail) and get back to digging to fix what we've done. Right?

I know DVD's are thing of the past, but I really wish I could get this on DVD! I have a TV and cheap DVD player in my shop that isn't linked to internet/wifi. I love looping bike movies while I wrench on bikes...

Yes! Same with my mix tapes

Chromecast is like $30. Just saying...

@BaeckerX1: Just looked into that Chromecast thing, but it seems like it still needs an active internet connection. And for real time transmission of video material over the internet, my experience is you either need very high speed download speeds, low video resolution or low frame rate (or the playback will stall every now and then for the hardware to buffer). As I rarely need a high download speed for what I do on internet, I've got the cheapest/slowest connection (there are better ways to spend money). To occasionally watch video material, I usually choose the low resolution option. But that doesn't do a movie like Deathgrip justice. A dvd or blu-ray disc could be a better solution.
