Didn't agree with him when he said " its all about being able to throw the best tricks". I think that technical lines are a big part of slope style, with out that it turns into just another dirt jump contest.

they make it easy every year so they can ride it and look cool. then tame it down EVEN MORE afterwards for us mere mortals...

If you think about ti, judges usually score higher when you throw gnarly stuff, and mix it up. So building to have the riders throw the best tricks is smart.

yeahbro- since when did people start throwing their best tricks on technical lines? You can have perfect jumps for them to throw crazy tricks on and be safe and also have crazy and tech lines that you have to ride in between those hits. That's a very specific track that I feel not many places are up to building just yet, however. Give it time, its still a relatively new discipline.

Remember its only a Gold Level event so its not gonna be as Burly as Joy Ride. IMO Bearclaw has the right idea in his course, but this course looks like it will be solid.

@yeahbro, I think you took what Kyle was saying out of context. He was mentioning how when riders feel comfortable they can throw their best tricks, not building a simple course because thats what its all about, but building a course that is technical, but flows together in a way that the athletes are having a great time sessioning the jumps and throwing it down. Doesn't have to be platinum for massive tricks to be thrown down, as long as the boys are having fun, stuff will happen.

why is the resolution so bad, i can barely make out the '#CFFest' in the top right corner?
  • 2 0
same here, I can nearly count the pixles....
  • 2 0
maybe they should have stayed with crankworx....atleast we could view it. I have a 1080p monitor and hardware to use it...but i see crazy pixels

People with a win 98 OS 're so happy right now Dead Horse

Please let someone fix the broadcast !

The builder really seems to understand what makes a good show, the funnest contest to watch are the ones where the riders are having a blast and their able to push themselves (I'm a bit biased but the Claymore Challenge was very much like that and it made for great spectating)! Good work Kyle, can't wait to see the finished product!

Kyle is from vermont- and yet, we build nothing like this here. so sad.
  • 4 1
Stoked for our Fest! Looking forward to the World seeing how Colorado puts on an event. Serious props for all those putting the event together.
  • 5 2
yea, building trails! but no reason to put on work boots. We got our Teva's and 510's!
  • 3 0
So why did this event change from crankworx colorado to colorado freeride festival?
  • 3 2
Winterpark didn't want to live in the shadows of Whistler Crankworx so they dropped out of the Crankworx scene and decided to have their own event. And then Les 2 Alpes was born.
  • 3 1
Crankworx wanted appx. $300,000 to put their name on the event. They decided to put that money back into the prize purse instead of naming the event Crankworx.
  • 1 0
I was wondering why they dropped the Crankworx name. I figured Trestle didn't want to pay for the franchise fee.
  • 2 5
They wernt really up to par of being crankworx anyway
  • 2 0
good decision i think, makes absolutely no difference to me whether it's called crankworx or not
  • 1 0
 I agree
  • 4 0
How did Kyle get his job?
  • 1 0
Thinkin about a morning shred at Keystone then jamming over to the finals @ Winter Park! Hopefully the weather can hold it until dark. It always seems to rain mid afternoon up there.

this is so retarded it freezes and when it un freezes the riders whole line is already done i didnt get to watch one whole run thats 2 and a half hours of my life ill never get back
  • 2 0
Hell yeah!!! Can't wait to see them shred and throw Flip Whips and Corked 7s in real life!!!
  • 3 1
How on earth did Semenuk's run score more than Soderstrom's? Also, why wasn't Genon ranked higher?
  • 2 0
looks like Martin should double tailwhip everything to win this, that's just ridiculous, no way Semenuk's run was better.
  • 1 0
Obviously the judges are seeing stuff you're not...
  • 1 0
That's why martin didnt score higher if he keeps being a one trick pony and double tail whip everything he's not going to win much for innovation. Great rider however and good luck to all the riders
  • 1 1
In pretty much the last 3 events Semenuk's ridden in he's done a corked 7. Surely he's a one trick pony then
  • 3 1
This is gonna be sweet, I'm so damn excited!
