Over the long weekend, the final round of the RedAss State Series hosted by Rocky Trail Entertainment was held at Greenvalleys Bike Park, Tongarra, as a part of the Illawarra MTB Festival. Riders saw extremely loose conditions, with ruts deceptively filled with dust, blown out corners and rocks becoming more and more obtrusive as the trail was ripped up. It was a battle to gain traction, and those who managed to get down with a decent time without either coming off or having a few sketchy moments was vast. Despite the conditions, the sun was out, the shuttles were running and overall it was an epic weekend for those both racing and spectating.

You can view the results to the race here.

If you're after a bit of a laugh, I went out with Sam Hardman to create a little skit giving the riders some 'advice' and enthusiasm.

Do not try and bend the rotor. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. There is no rotor.

How does that even happen to a rotor???

Apparently smashed it on a rock or log. Completely ripped out the rotor bolts and destroyed the hub.
