Review: Deviate Highlander 2 - A Better Sequel
So lets cross shop a bit here. You can get a full XT build Commencal Meta TR with Ohlins suspension for $5,900. This almost an identical build to the ohlins specced Highlander yet they are asking $10,250 for the highlander. Sure the Commencal will have a couple of LBs on this but how can you justify spending that much more money?

May 5, 2023Giant Glory (Brand new frame)
$3200 CAD2019 Giant Glory
This bike is built up using the suspension from my old 2016 Glory Advanced 0. The frame was replaced by Steed Cycles March 23rd, 2023.
This is the list of new parts that were put on the bike at the time of the frame swap:
- Raceface Turbine Bars (uncut)
- Sram GX Cassette
- Sram GX Chain
- MRP G5 Chainguide
Here is the list of carryover parts:
-Hope 4 Hubs
- Sram X01 Derailleur (replaced last year)
- Sram X01 Shifter
- Sram X01 Cranks
- Suspension: Fork is a Rockshox Boxxer Team, shock is a Rockshox Vivid R2C (both were service by Fluid Function early 2022)
- Rear tire: Maxxis Minion DHR
- Front tire: Maxxis DHF
- Chromag Saddle
- OneUp Flat Aluminum Pedals (Purchased early 2022)
Selling because I am not buying a whistler pass this year. I put over $1,600 into the bike at the time of the frame swap. I put 3 shuttle days on the bike since it was built up. It is in absolutely perfect working condition.

Big difference between me and remy is speed judgement haha. I would like to see how that Tyee holds up vs a DH bike if he cased as many jumps as i do.

Video: Friday Fails #269
Adrenaline can make very hurt people seem not hurt (for a short while). I occasionally see the stars of Friday Fails post in the comments here. Quite often they will list their injuries. I would bet a a sizeable portion of the big accidents on Friday Fails involve at least 1 broken bone.

Fox Announces New Float & Float SL Shocks
@wellst: I get that lockouts and reduced weight swing the scale for a lot people towards air. I have never found an airshock that is "set it and forget it", I usually have a small window of time after getting an air shock serviced before I have to start doing monthly pressure checks to see how much pressure I have lost. To me springs aren't my shock of choice just because "they take big impacts" but because I have to worry about them less and they have much longer life spans in-between services.
