@DaneL: Yup. I'm a 36 fan, have 2. Agree with the reviews though, back-to-back Lyrik edges it out. Would be thrilled if it came with a 36 option though.
Swapped out a 34 for a Pike on another bike, the increase in stiffness was not subtle. 34 is a poor spec at 140 on a capable bike like this I'm thinking. Mileage may vary if you're light I suppose.
Just the same, the Smuggler spec feels like a missed opportunity. Deore/SLX with a Lyrik/36 maybe, or some other combo with the Zocchi other than NX?
The GX mechanical is only one I'd buy, but then would have to swap out the fork...

An 140mm Lyrik of any level would have been better than a 34. Even a Pike is an order of magnitude stiffer

@shredddr: Yours is definitely more guaranteed for success, but the other option of having kids and putting in the work to get them into being active people works too.
It's actually pretty short window of intensive hand holding/green run/ice cream afterwards stuff, till they are proficient and dragging you out the door for activities...which they are suddenly better than you at, the little fuckers

@CleanZine: Even on a common sense level it's not hard to figure out that mobility is step one. If you don't have a full range of motion everything else you do down the line will be capped.
