This is a gently used, well taken care of 2016 Trek Slash 9.8. The only scratch is on the left chainstay; I slid out on some wet leaves...you can imagine how happy I was about that. This is the bike on Treks website: 2016 Trek Slash 9.8 The only thing different is that this bike has a Lyric instead of the Pike, it is a bit sturdier of a fork, I think they did a running change mid-year. This appears to be the last year of the Slash having 27.5 inch wheels, as well as full floater, so if you like either of those two things, you may want to consider a 2016 instead of the new 2017. This bike, even though it has six inches of travel, is incredible at climbing, you can stiffen up the suspension, drop the fork down to 130mm and climb up anything. As far as descending goes, I raced my 2015 Slash in a downhill race; I did not place because I got a flat, but it didn't feel that far off of my downhill bike, it was very smooth.
