Kirt and I took a trip to my old stomping grounds, Bellingham, Washington earlier this month. We spent a couple shooting at Galbraith Mountain - an incredible network of fast, technical, and flowy trails. Thanks to the WMBC for building and maintaining these amazing ribbons of dirt!

HOlleeee sheeit!!! How old is that guy?
  • + 27
 @motion: OLD ENOUGH TO PARTY
  • + 6
@motion: who gives a f*ck! Older than most here and better!
  • + 70
best music choices for videos by far
  • + 32
 Everything's better with some Beasties.
  • + 8
 @Dally666: BOYS!!!
  • + 2
besides so watcha want and get it together my favourite beasties song
  • + 61

  • + 17
Thanks Tippie! An honor coming from you!
  • + 2
Great rider great trail great music! GREAT
  • + 1
 so much fun to watch
  • + 40
I'm sorry but Bellingham is full. At least a 2 year wait to get in. We'll put you on the list. You're welcome to wait in the bar area and call you when your table is ready.
  • + 26
Table top for 3 please. Speaking of Bellingham, Transition should've tried to scoop him up - good fit seems like.
  • + 8
 @endlessblockades: agreed.. missed opportunity
  • + 6
@endlessblockades: Don't forget about @CanfieldBrothers. They're sponsorship budget is probably pretty small and they're a bit more gravity focused so it wouldn't be the best fit for Kirt, but man would I love to see him shred a Riot!!! Excuse me, a Toir rather Wink
  • + 2
@jcrrr13: Damn they need a better new name than that one. Frown
  • + 4
@jcrrr13: Hey why is it like that on the website? Is that for real or just a screw up?

There are locals with more speed and style but not named Voreis.
  • + 3
@andrewfif: From the Canfield website: *Due to a trademark conflict, the Riot was renamed the Toir in May, 2017
  • + 3
@kiwikonadude: TIOR = RIOT backwards and means radical. My guess is because the Ghost Riot already existed.
  • + 2
@mayha49: Tior = Roit backwards ahaha
  • + 35
that footplant to rock roller though
  • + 1
 What rock is that?
  • + 5
 @motorhead1982: Radical Dragon.
  • + 2
Most impressive trick in the video i thought! Major commitment, I would not want to overshoot that thing, it gets flat pretty quick.
  • + 30
Nothing like watching a pro properly shred a trail you thought you were shredding.
  • + 8
Right! I thought I rode Evo properly until watching this. I have a lot of things to rethink now. :/
  • + 3
@Pininator: Oh sweet ladder roller I think I'll drop off the side thank you.
  • + 2
@Lankoln: I always send that one straight...never even pondered the side option.
  • + 19
Do you think Kirt has fun when he rides? He looks so serious in these edits!
  • + 6
Can't ride like a boss an not have fun
  • + 4
That's the look of concentration. It was intense just watching. It takes some serious commitment to do what Kirt does. I can't do what Kirt does, but in trying so I know what that feeling is that you see on his face. I saw it on his face once during an Oregon Enduro event where he cleared a table and within a second of landing maneuvered around a rock bigger than a baseball that had come dislodged from the trail by the last rider down. So he didn't know it was there from his previous practice run. The rock was sitting in the landing and took riders off track going around it. Go to the left to hit embankment filled with rock and root, or go to the right and leave the earth for moment to either hit a tree or land in rocks under soft dirt. --I was where I was in the section of stage because of the speed that would build up coming down a hill to a shallow left corner that lead to a table jump that went into a shallow, but quick, left within 10' to 12' feat of the landing-- Kirt has the thousand-yard stare. It's like he can see beyond...
  • + 4
Everytime one of his videos pops up my first thought is "My name's Kirt and I love to party."
  • + 5
That´s cause hes one a 29er.... and you know, they aren´t fun, or playful... you can´t jump or do footplants and stuff on them. 29ers are gay?
  • + 1
@stefanfresh: Hahahahaha exactly..! BTW, where are all the 29 haters at??
  • + 1
 @bohns1: riding in hate...
  • + 12
Riding Evolution into Unemployment Line at Galbraith is a wild ride.
  • + 1
Definitely my favorite way down there. Did they change the two big tree drops towards the bottom of Evolution? I haven't been in some time, living abroad...
  • + 2
@Tarekith: They rebuilt both and put down ramps so you can roll them or drop to the dirt.
  • + 1
@Tarekith: They are both rollable now and maybe a little smaller depending on the last time you saw them.
  • + 1
@Flyxaos: Def easier to jump like he did. Just transfer to the wood.
  • + 2
@Tarekith: I'm also living abroad and miss riding these trails a lot, thankfully I was able to get up there when I was back visiting last Month. They are doing a bunch of work at Tiger and 27 too, can't wait to move back
  • + 6
And finish off with a rough romp down Atomic Dog
  • + 1
@pacificnorthwet: Very cool, thanks for the update. The landings were always a bit flat, so I'm sure it's better now.
  • + 9
Kirt is the best bike handler out there, turning old school style into effortless speed. Love your videos @djambor !
  • + 3
 Thanks!
  • + 10
Kirt is the hardest working man in the MTB game. Keep it up dude.
  • + 5
 Working smart, not hard Wink
  • + 9
WMBC rocks and so does this vid!
  • + 3
A year ago I didn't know Kirt from any other pro. Now I'll watch anything he's in. Skilled, stylish, entertaining and above all, fun. And what are the chances that two videos would employ the super innovative shubbery facebonk on the same day?
  • + 3
@LuisCR: Thanks for the flashback - claaaaaasick.
  • + 1
@LuisCR: That was amazing! Thanks for sharing!
  • + 6
I ride those exact same trails, but I just noticed we choose VERY different lines. His are a lot more impressive.
  • + 2
At first I thought the hub clickings were annoying, and then I started to really like it. Is intentionally overlayed with the musak! Especially: the slo-mo with the slo-mo clicking - because!

Wish I wish I could ride like that.
  • + 5
Sometimes I hate that I moved away from Bellingham (and my second son was just born yesterday, so that shows something)
  • + 4
 Kids are cool!
  • + 2
 Congrats!
  • + 3
oh boy, one of those videos I feel like to watch over and over again till my eyes fall off or I hit the nearst trail. I wasn't ready for this now.
  • + 2
It was great working with Kirt when I worked at Specialized. He is one of the funniest guys in mountain biking and he has a positive energy about him in everything he does.
  • + 4
Foot plant on the rock is properly sketchy
  • + 4
So awesome to see a pro on trails I have actually ridden
  • + 4
Nobody has more fun riding a bike than Kirt. nobody.
  • + 5
 Huge tune. Sick riding
  • + 4
praise jah for kirt voreis...and galbraith for that matter
  • + 3
Uhh, I think I've been riding those trails all wrong.
  • + 3
Alright you convinced me. 29er's can be cool I spose.
  • + 2
Perfect combination, rider, riding, bike, place and music... Kirt go to Hollywood because your job is the movie actor ...
  • + 2
LAF boys! Kipster laying down the movie tracks and Vorski inventing what bikes dream about... congrats!
  • + 2
Hitn' them funky beats! And the Beasties were rocking too! Vid straight up kicks it.
  • + 3
definitely never thought to foot plant that U-line drop.. well done sir.
  • + 0
Looks fun for sure, I'm also sure that this is why the current crop of full suspension rigs can't really climb anymore. I miss my old 26" Tracer
  • + 2
