We appreciate your concern, but this is very much not the case with our event. Unlike other events that happen locally, we are long-time Durango locals who are invested in ensuring the trails are properly maintained. Our event is limited in the number of participants, that is established by local land managers who approve the permits. We are working closely with the City of Durango, and the BLM to establish a standard operating procedure for events that includes pre, during, and post event evaluations, maintenance, and repair. We also plan to make a donation directly back to our local trails organization, Durango Trails, in support of their efforts to keep our trails running sweet. Additionally, our event is insured to cover entry costs in the event that adverse weather causes cancellation.
