Review: Nukeproof Mega 290c Factory
@jeremiahwas: Makes sense, but just objectively difficult to quantify what it means to "me" as a rider. Geometry & spec comparisons 1v1 makes senes, but ride comparisons are just tough with that small of a sample group. But I hear what you are saying and I'm sure you're probably right.

Back to the Trails: Gunnison, Colorado
Haha, exactly. Front-range is packed right now! This is a great write-up. Gunnison is a gem where lodging & food are cheap compared to mountain towns and the riding is great for those who like to earn their turns.

Review: Nukeproof Mega 290c Factory
Agreed. Also... I NEVER understand the 2 bike comparisons at the end of these reviews??? Great review, but a 1-2 paragraph comparison against only one other bike and by just one rider makes NO objective sense to me. By this I mean it has no objective value to me as the reader, the comparison data only applies to the ONE rider doing the test. Other than that, great write-up.

Ultimate Bike Check: Cam McCaul's Trek Remedy
@landscapeben: I thought the same thing! I've been running 27/29 and recently started testing 25/27 but that is as low as I will go. Whatever works I guess. Also, I worked very briefly at a Trek dealer years ago and have had a ton of their bikes over the years. The prior Rhythm components and now LINE components are great, they even got the wheels sorted with the LINE series. No reason to swap them like back in the day. Wondering if Marzocchi will release a simple bullet-proof version of the X2 shock???

Video: The MTB Pioneer of Crested Butte - Return to Earth: The Series, Ep 3
@brandonrock72: Really!?!? It's not on Main St. anymore??? Last time I was in CB was summer 2015 to ride the bike park. Now that you mention it I think one of the lifties said something about that. It was occupying some prime real estate right on main so maybe the owner cashed out on the real estate portion. Do you have any more details? Are all the museum pieces out in Marin county CA? Thanks

Crested Butte trails really define All-Mountain riding IMO. Make sure you spend a week and do both the lift access and all the pedal access trails. 401 trail is NOT to be missed! Lived in CB for a year back in 2007, amazing small town. All these folks are there and happy to talk MTB history, MTB museum is a must as well.
