Well it would be an understatement to say that this past weekend was a success. With over 300 entry's, a massive Pro field and a brand new course this years POC ESC Atlantic DH Cup MCBP Spring Classic ProGRT was a weekend to remember. Thanks to the entire Mountain Creek Bike Park crew for making an amazing new course and creating a professional fun environment for all of us to enjoy.

After Fridays unbelivable amount of rain nobody knew what to expect. With over 3 inches of rain and a fresh cut course, we were sure that we were in for a mud fest. But to our surprise the blazing sun on Saturday morning dried out the trails and by end of the day we were riding some beautiful East Coast brown pow. Sunday was no different, the sun was out the air was warm and the riders were sticking to the track so well that times improved by over 5 seconds from qualifying runs.

In a stacked pro Field Specilaized rider Aaron Gwin was able to take the win with a time of 2:08:01 followed closely by East Coast local Trek World Racing, Neko Mullaly with a time of 2:09:29. and not far behind him with a time of 2:10:12 was Specialized rider Mitch Ropelato.

Yeti is wrong by wasting R. Rude talent by racing Enduros. A world cup dh team should sign Richie and put him where he belongs WC DH Racing

It's honestly kind of strange. Yeti has all their focus on enduro, and all their riders are on the SB-66, which is supposedly no longer in production. It's like they don't want to sell you a bike based on its "performances."

 R. Rude isn't a waste for enduro. He won't change over night it will take time. Once he gets a bit more fitness he will be at the topSmile Its a waste having a dh team when dh is sadly starting to die and 99% of your sales are all mountain bikes. Sucks dh is going the way it is. Yeti's new bikes will be sweet.. just wait and see!

@Dan255 did you see the article a few weeks back about it? It has gotten a lot less popular compared to 6 years ago. Seems pointless for Yeti to fund a world cup dh team when they don't really sell dh bikes…

The photos are a testament to the standards that Pinkbike photographers provide time and time again. A job well done. Great video too but I could do without the song.
