Maxxis ESC racers have such a blast at Arrowhead Recreation Area that one visit just wasn't enough this season, so we're back for a second helping of the Granite State's finest loam. The trail crew laid out six assorted stages for us to sample everything Arrowhead has to offer, including a brand new trail that received rave reviews from riders. The rain miraculously held off and the good times were aplenty, if you stayed home because of the forecast you missed out. Arrowhead always delivers!

Foggy start to race day morning and although a few drops fell during the afternoon, we managed to avoid the forecasted showers until the ride home.

Everyone knows the rules at this point of the season, we just like hanging out with Chris Gilbert in the morning.

The steep 500' climb to the top was a walk for many, especially the sixth time up.

Racers would kick off their day on Tomahawk, Michal Matejovic hangs a foot out just in case on the slick, steep stuff. He would survive and thrive, earning second place in the Motorex Ebike class with a trio of stage wins.

A rough start to the day for Ellen Noble, as she slipped out on the first turn of Stage 1 and snapper her handlebars. Luckily she was carrying a tool, so she slid her brake lever over, put the grip on as far as it would go and finished the stage. She borrowed some bars to finish the day in sixth place for the Pro Women, the true spirit of Enduro.

They're not all loamers, careful on those berms.

Liam Green finds the flow on Stage 1, he would round out the GT 16U boys top three.

Seventh place Pro men's finisher Gavin Vaughan samples the newly opened Fist Full of Cake, Stage 2 would kick off on this freshy right into a portion of Dirty Frank. We'll be enjoying Gavin's handiwork next month in Woodstock, Vermont. Another race you don't want to miss!

Stages 3, 4 and 6 started from the very top and descended nearly 600' into the base area.

Owen Wilson points it down the massive exposed rock slab on Stage 3, he would finish sixth in the 20U class.

photo
Dan Moon battles the off camber roots with a very steep hill to his left. He rolled into second place with a stage win and currently leads the 20U men's overall with three races left.

photo
Scott Huntley rode his custom Polar visor to a pair of stage wins and second place for the 30-39 Men.

photo
Kory Nagy shows some style in the New Hampshire woods, he earned fourth place in the Pro men's class.

photo
Jac Dahrouge earned his first 20U win here just two months ago and backed it up with another one this weekend.

Wooden ramp casualty, that'll happen with carbon cranks.

photo
30-39 men's class winner Chris Carr opts for the riskier and more direct line on Stage 4, he would win this and three other stages.

photo
Fourth place for 20U racer Eli Quickel as he throws some style on the Stage 5 creek gap.

photo
Tillie Lange shreds the final few tight corners of Stage 6 on the way to her fourth GT 18U girls class win of 2023.

photo
40-49 men's class winner Rob Westover gives the spectators at the bottom of Stage 6 something to cheer about.

photo
Kallie Stewart sends the Stage 2 road gap right into third place for the Pro ladies.

photo
Mia Migliorino is no slouch on the pedals, she pushed through the punchy climbs and awkward flat sections to take second place in a talented Pro women's class.

photo
Avery Ellis continued her recent domination of the Pro Women, earning her third win of the season with a six pack of stage wins and a total race time of 16 minutes flat.

photo
Pro Women: 5th - Marie Vaine, 3rd - Kallie Stewart, 1st - Avery Ellis, 2nd - Mia Migliorino, 4th - Serefina Krajewska

photo
P3 for Luke Mello, his sixth podium of 2023 as he remains consistent and leads the Pro men's overall heading into the last big block of races.

photo
A remarkable four stage wins for Adrian Hayden especially with no practice. He was still very much on pace but would land just 0.74s short of the top step come Sunday afternoon.

photo
Alex McAndrew is a regular on the Maxxis ESC podium, but it had been two years since his last race win. This weekend he conquered the steep loamers of Arrowhead to take his first win since becoming a father, along with two stage wins and a total race time of 12:29.

Pro Men: 5th - Adam Robbins, 3rd - Luke Mello, 1st - Alex McAndrew, 2nd - Adrian Hayden, 4th - Kory Nagy

Cruisin' Cow ice cream and race day stories with friends, the perfect way to end a big day on the bike.
