@Tambo: I know that. I should probably have said "metals can't do it to nearly the same degree". But the point still stands. The main benefit of carbon isn't just that it´s light and stiff, but that it can also flex if you want it to and exactly how you want it to

@flattire: you want both. A frame should flex the right amount in the right direction. That's the actual benefit of carbon. Metals just can't do that.

@g-42: Last year a shop in my hometown burned down. Way worse than this actually. They only sell Cube and Specialized, usually don´t service anything else either. Good batteries are usually safe, but the chance of combustion is never zero

@vRidge: exactly. Its a bicycle with a motor so its a form of a moped. No hate towards e bikes but nobody will ever convince me otherwise

@ski-bike-repeat: While Spicak is a great track, one of my favourites when I used to race European Cups actually, it doesn´t feel very World Cup like. Its not as steep and tighter/more awkward than the WC tracks I´ve ridden. WC tracks tend to be quite high speed. Could be a fun mix up though
Edit: Also the chair lift is slow, very very slow

That should really be looked into more. It happened before, there even was a spectator killed by a flying bike at a German DH race, around 2000 I think it was.

I really don´t agree on suspension. The Bronson V1 rear end was what made me look for a new bike. I´ve tried several shocks, I am quite confident in my ability to set up a bike and I was never happy with its performance in rougher terrain. All in all the original Bronson was fine when it came out but won´t hold a candle to a current trail or enduro bike
