I've ridden in Lanzarote on a beaten up hired touring hardtail back when I was 14 and it was still one of the best rides I've ever had. Blasting down volcanic singletrack is just the most amazing feeling. A real vibrant culture once you get out of the resorts too - We stopped for supplies at a 'shop' which turned out to be picking random disorganised items off shelves in someones living room and bartering for them over a make-shift wooden table. It was such an insane trip - I still remember the people, the dust and the wind racing through my helmet as we made our way down the volcanoes like it was yesterday

You can pick up really cheap holiday deals out there - Just, whatever you do, make sure you take your bike.
