This is a project I shot over a four month period showing off the beauty of the hills around Sheffield and North Wales and several different disciplines in the world of cycling.

I had so much fun making this film, met so many amazing people and have been to some amazing places. Most of it was filmed around the Hope Valley, with the exception of a few big hills in Wales. Massive thanks to One Giant Leap Llangollen and Revolution Bike Park for letting me film at their places. Also to the amazingly talented riders, Elliot Heap, Callum Russell, Jack Senior and the whole of the TRG team. Cheers guys, hopefully I'll have as much fun this year.

On of the nicest MTB films I have seen in a long time. Nothing crazy or extreme, "mortal" riding but amazing atmosphere! Made my day Smile

+1 to that. Actually quite nice to see riders with skills that are just a tiny bit closer to average. The extreme or super skilled ones in other vids sometimes make me feel bad about blowing chunks on gear that they use but without the same skill level to justify it

The ridge line at the beginning is Rushup edge heading towards Mam Tor. Only part way through the vid, will watch the rest on a bigger screen when I get time

Lovely video. Drone footage was awesome, did you use a Phantom?
  • 1 0
Thanks very much bud. Yes its the DJI Phantom 2 with the HD-3D Zenmuse Gimbal and the GoPro 3+, shooting in 2.5k at a low frame rate so you don't get as much vibrations, but the gimbal does well to soak up a lot of it.

Yeah very smooth footage. I have found that using ND filter on the GoPro is probably the best way to remove jiggle. With ND it just locks the exposure and almost all of it is gone even when i was shooting without gimbal i used a glass from my old broken Ray Ban glasses and it did pretty good Big Grin I fly a DIY DJI F450 with Tarot 2D gimbal.
