PRESS RELEASE: Forbidden Bike Company

It’s time for high pivot technology to make the leap from World Cup Downhill tracks to your local trail network. At 130mm of rear wheel travel, the Forbidden Druid is a wolf in sheep's clothing. With geometry that balances stability and agility, the Druid is adaptable; nimble enough to hammer out trail rides after work and burly enough for weekend shuttles. Its high pivot Trifecta suspension platform has the ability to generate grip and pop almost simultaneously while offering an unworldly ability to absorb the big hits. All over the mountain, the more you ask of the Druid, the more it gives.

Reuben Krabbe Image

After two years of development, compiling 20 years of mountain bike tech, the Druid is heading the direction of modern trail bikes. Our development process for the Druid left no stone unturned, with careful consideration of maintenance needs, rider feedback, and desire to push the boundaries of bike design.

The Druid is built around a 140mm or 150mm fork with 130mm of single pivot rear wheel travel. Our goal with The Druid and its Trifecta suspension design was not to achieve its downhill capability through larger travel numbers, but to work smarter with the travel numbers that make sense for everyday riders. From your favorite loop in your local trail network to the dream riding location you plan on road tripping to this summer, The Druid has you covered.

Yo Sick Bikes -- this is how a small company properly releases a new whip, take notes! Dope looking rig, boys, well done.

a video of a guy riding a bike..could be any bike and it would look the same. I guess we get to see it doesn't explode upon impact, and that's a good thing, otherwise none of these promo videos ever make me think..."Wow! That bike rides so different...I must have IT!!!"
Just like the Crankbrothers wheels video....hey,look, it's a guy riding a bike...with wheels that spin!(they didn't explode on impact either, which is a good thing)

True but look who is talking about this bike and those crankbrothers wheels. Advertising seems to be doing its job just fine.

@JPostuk: what bike? I couldn't even specify what brand of bike it is or what makes it special two seconds after watching it. And the CB ad certainly gave me no reason to go spend a crazy amount of cash on...wheels that spin. I'm assuming the goal of advertising is meant for more than getting me to type some useless comment.
I've never been swayed to buy a bike because of a promo video showing a guy..riding a bike. A good rider will make any bike look good. They all basically do the same thing...roll, jump off things, go straight, turn, stop, and sometimes have squishy parts. In a video they all look the same.

Solid video and concept. If you come out with a more aggro model, I suggest some Cascadian atmospheric BM for sound!

@DirtyDee: black one is a sick album. saw them live a bunch of years ago. small venue, huge wall of amps. amazing sonic experience. so viscerally heavy.

@xy9ine: Gutted I missed them last year when they played nearby, but I was just back from an MTB road trip with little sleep and carrying quite a few injuries so I think they would have destroyed me. Hope they come back this way again soon, I've heard it's almost like a religious/out of body experience it's so loud!

Good riding and cool weird religious undertones in the video. I like it.

You guys released the bike perfectly! Using short clips and lots of pictures on instagram to get people stoked over the last few months was perfect. By far my favourite 29er
