 I was going to write a comment bashing samurai but after rewatching the vid a few times he is kinda right....although the unfortunate timing of the slomo didnt help with the untucked knees and whatnot..

 Hey I like Stevie!!!! He's fast and wins races. His style just doesn't look good for edits. Don't take my criticism serious. I'm just a guy who wishes he can ride as well.

 We have to jump on Stevie now while he is down and Gwin is in the lead. Its a friendly rivalry.....USA vs Can, but we had a taste of victory with Gwin and now we want more. I think were all a little nervous Stevie will win every race from here on out and win it all. Its going to make waking up at 5am to watch these races live worth it! "Look at the time.....its 5am!"  @Redeye, Stevie is a DH Racer, not Slope Style. Thats like saying Gwin has no style. These WC Racers can whip a bike like there is no tomorrow. Make your due diligence and realize the real talent of these guys.

 They don't have crazy "hang it all out" steeze because that's not always the fastest. What's beautiful about World Cup riders shredding downhill is that they manage to make such gnarly stuff look so smooth. Their "style" is making butter out of that nightmare root section or carrying speed through a set of crazy corners. That's the best thing about style; everyone's is different and if you look hard you can appreciate the full range of what's out there.

 Gwin vs Smith vs Atherton I think Atherton is going to take it if he makes no mistake. I think with the momentum Gwin is carrying so far he'll be a contender or a close 2nd. Stevie could be anywhere but I put him top 5 due to injury. I would rather see Stevie or Gwin take the win though. North America needs to stick together and conquer these fools!

 Nope. Brendog is stylie (and on a DH bike and in his pajamas) but Lopes is the proven fastest dude on that trail - every year - and on a trailbike. It is fun seeing all the top dudes and their corporate sponsors in town filming, riding and testing all winter long. I get jealous of Canadian trails and dirt, but then I look in my back yard and think - not too shabby - and accessible 355 days a year.

 Am I the only one who think Red Bull athletes are the best at the moment? The top 3 of FISE were Genon, Söderström and Thelander and the 3 favorite rider at Fort William are Smith, Gwin and Gee, which are also all Red Bull athletes.

 mt wilson is fun, but its not DH, but it is about 11 miles top to bottom, with a little hike in the middle, fast single track, some exposure and a tiny bit of easy tech.
