There is no such thing as an "electric mountain bike" -- that's BS. People who ride those are in effect riding cars, they're not doing any work, no effort, they're a plague, not the kind of people who appreciate actual bicycles. At the same time if you are creating trails illegally, you're also not respectful of the environment, you're causing erosion and sullying public lands that everyone owns, not just you, and if you're on private land without the owners knowing, you're worse than parasites. Rules about illegal trail building are made for actual legitimate reasons, it's not "the man" stepping on your throat with an iron boot, illegal trails open up the owners -- that's us tax payers -- to liability, there is trash, there is arsonists, there is illegal fire rings, all the usual problems when aholes make illegal trails even beyond erosion and unsightly damage. So electric toy riders are equal to aholes that make illegal trails. They deserve each other.
