Press Release: Freeride Entertainment

On the heels of the release of Nothing's For Free, with Outside Studios and Pinkbike, Freeride Entertainment is relaunching our iconic film series New World Disorder, and creating new home for all our legacy mountain bike content at freerider.tv.

Subscribers will have access to all 10 of the original New World Disorder films in remastered HD, unmolested by VHS and low quality uploads. There will also be new original stories, videos, podcasts, and more. The site launches with Magic Man, a new art project from Jaxson Riddle and famed action photographer Blake Jorgensen.

bigquotesWhen you think back to our humble beginnings in freeriding and how much impact New World Disorder had on the sport we knew this move would be a huge for our fanbase. Back then with those films all we really wanted was a blank canvas for creativity.

Freerider.TV is designed to be that cultural hub and core voice for the future. You will be able to view never before seen content, all access stories, exclusive merch drops, and culturally relevant editorial. The best part about it is nothing is created by influencers... we like to think of it as curated by the influential.

Film, photography and art will be the soul of the site, but the All Killer No Filler Podcast and Cam McCaul's new video music blog Camz Jamz are not to be missed.

Sick, now who will remaster Downhill Domination for new gaming systems?

Hours upon hours crushed playing that game

what about No Fear Downhill Mountain Biking?

You can download PSX as an emulator and download a ROM for DD. Most modern computers with a graphics can run it. About 3/4gb download for the game, so not very large. Get Gran Turismo while you're at it.

No fear sucked ass. Downhill Domination for life.

@sherbet: I don't understand what you just explained, but downhill domination for life for sure

An emulator is a program you run on your computer, and it allows you to emulate a game console from years past. The emulator is legal to download, but for the ROMs (game file itself) you legally need a serial code. You can spoof these fairly easily, just be aware you're not suppose to. Sony has turned a blind eye to it, so for playstation emulators you're good, but Nintendo will eat your ass if they find out.

Basically, download PSX as a program. Go to a ROM site and download the game. You can then play Downhill Domination on your home PC on your widescreen 4k TV while chilling on your couch. Runs great.

If anyone wants some help, send me a DM and I can help get you set up.

Same here. We'd watch those pixelated trailers hundreds of times

At least we can watch younger Cedric again with amazement , instead of older one with cringe.

NWD 5 will always be my favorite. Iconic riders, locations and soundtrack!

 The skits were great.

I ...ahem...downloaded them on limewire back in the day...probably in addition to a virus or 2 that killed my PC...but whatever.

I remember always waiting for each years latest film debut at Interbike (when Interbike was a thing, in Vegas, no less). It was awesome! All the riders were there, band playing in a club. Tippie being Tippie! It was a highlight for sure. Sounds like a long time ago, doesn’t feel so long ago. I wish I still had my yellow and black OG RM7 with the upside -down Stratos fork and double rings/bashguard! I still have my 2004 Foes Fly.

Has anyone signed up, can they let us know if the quality is any good. It would be nice if they showed a preview.
  • 5 0
Yes, its good quality. It's remastered in 1080p

 @aidancroskrey: awesome thanks
  • 3 1
Confusing- its says it's a subscription but then you can watch all 10 films for a single payment 24.99?
  • 6 1
Correct, It's a single payment not a reoccuring subscription
  • 2 0
Thanks, was just as confused. Is it common to call a single payment for unlimited viewing a subscription?
  • 1 0
@vinay: Subscription seems a more accurate term, as you are not actually buying anything (as opposed to the VHS cassettes when most of those were originally released) but get access for an undisclosed period of time.
