Beautiful weather, amazing crowds and a handful of bad luck. The team was firing on all cylinders despite the mishaps. Wicklow also marks the first official race back for Wyn, since his injury nearly two months ago.

I love watching this team. In the EWS wrap-up video for Round 3, Martin is shown explaining that he flatted twice and decided to ride stage 4(?) on his rim in order to stay in for the long-haul. Seeing this footage of Wyn stopping by him on the transition and then Martin running(!) to apparently make his transition time shows his true character as an athlete and the way this team supports each other.

I wish the entire team the best of luck and thanks GT for making these videos. Keep them coming!

Yeah, totally. This is one of my favorite teams for sure. Not everyone can win so I think it's foolish for sponsors to be overly result focused. These guys and gals represent a lifestyle and I love it. Keep it coming! Thanks!

That moment when you realize Martin Maes was 7 seconds faster than you on stage 4 on a rim.

B*ll**ks !

Ha ha.... I was on stage 4 start Bren. When Martin Maes arrived there was nothing out of the ordinary. He cycled up, wasn't out of breath and wasn't even sweating..... it was only as he took off from the start gate that I realised he was on the rim. Mad I tells ye!!

And what about the guy who broke his crank at the end of stage 1, at least I think it was stage 1, and he cycled (using the term lightly) every transition and every stage with only 1 crank arm & pedal..... and he made every stage start on time too.....

This race had everything Big Grin

@Lambkoes: It surely did. I cycled past Anneke rolling down the fire road on a flat then Nico V on the phone to his pits in similar jock a minute later. Was chatting to Jarred Grave's while he was on his way to stage two. I was busy telling him the bottom of five now had tons of grip and to pin it into it, pointless information as his race was to be over 5 minutes later.
Hill and Smith where tearing it a new one and our boy Dan Wolfe was killing it. I had heard in the pits he'd got up as far as 6th at one point but when i met him later I did not tell him so as not to mess with his head.
And i suffered cramp like I never suffered it before. The memories Smile

The fact that Greg brought her home again was almost lost on me when I saw Killian had done it in Juniors. I just knew Leah would do it. She's she is to under 21 ladies what Tracy Mosley is to senior and finally Robin Seymore in what has to be the most stacked vets field I have ever witnessed.

I would love to see what Martin, as well as Rude, could do if they rode WC DH more consistently...

Get Rude on a DH bike. His lines last weekend where full bore DH. Guy is a beast

I love Anneke's attitude even with the bad breaks. She truly seems happy to be riding her bike on beautiful terrain.
