Nov 20, 2018Superb condition Specialized Demo 8 S-works carbon
$1800 GBPDON'T MISS OUT!!!!!
I have for sale x1 2014 Specialized Demo 8 S-Works Carbon
The bike is in superb, nearly new condition
I bought the bike from the original owner and have a photocopy of the original invoice from Evans Cycles in Woking to prove this is not a stolen bike
The bike is as it came from Evans cycles all bar a new chain in the recent past as it reads 0.25 on my Park Tools chain checker and a set of cheap pedals to get the next owner rolling as a know that pedals are a very personal choice to most cyclist.
For a full spec please link to the Evan page below
https://www.evanscycles.com/specialized-s-works-demo-8-carbon-2014-downhill-mountain-bike-EV200053
The main parts of the spec are as follows
Size medium/17"
Wheel size: 26"
Frame material: Carbon fact 11 front triangle, M5 alloy rear end and magnesium rocker
Fork: Rockshox Boxxer WC
Shock Ohlins TTX22M
Cranks/Shifter/Rear Mech: All Sram XO
Bars: Renthal DH Low Rise
Brakes: Avid Code XO World Cup with carbon lever blades
Cassette: Shimano HG-70 Capreo, 7-speed, Micro 9-20
Post: Thomson
Saddle: Body Geometry Phenom Comp
Chain guide: Gamut
Wheels: Roval DH, Specialized Hi-Lo and DT Swiss 350 hubs
Condition
Overall for a used DH bike it is truly stunning
The are only a couple of tiny marks and very minor signs of use
I have tried to show these in the pictures
The forks have no wear or scratches to the stanchions
There are no leaks
Nothing feels loose
There are no cracks, dings dents or defects
The brakes have a good lever feel
Little bit of dirt ingress to the edges of the heli tape on the down tube
Truth be told this is a very rare chance to own one of the premier down hill bikes in excellent condition, most Demo 8's and indeed most down hill bikes in general start to show signs of use and wear but as yet this one has been unaffected.
I am happy to answer any questions and will provide a copy of the original receipt to who ever purchases the bike
Last couple of points
Yes I am happy to accept PayPal goods and services to cover both parties in the sale of the bike, however the buyer will have to make up the shortfall that will be deducted by PayPal so please bare this in mind if this is the method with which you want to pay. I am also happy with cash on collection also.
Shipping
I am happy to ship within the UK however this will not be cheap as the bike will only be sent using a trusted courier such as Parcel Force (No man with van services please) and fully insured, so truth be told it will probably be cheaper, quicker and easier to collect in person as I would estimate the cost of the courier to be in excess of £100
