Bike Check: Hugo Marini's Commencal Supreme DH v5
Love the Canyon Sender-Esque upper pivot, and the Motocross style Twin-Spar Aluminum frame. Commencal and Giant are the last bastions of hope, for fans of good Aaa-Loo-Minium bikes.

Shaun Palmer's Truck, Motorcycle, & Mountain Bike Stolen & Truck Totaled in High Speed Chase
Would have been a travesty if that Cr250 in the picture was lost in the incident. An 81' Yamaha though?... meh, they pretty much did him a favor. Can't even ride a modern mx track on that dinosaur.

@Danzzz88: True... Unless Gearboxes make a huge leap, and change the game kinematics/pedaling forces wise.

Reece Wallace's Custom Painted Giant Trance Matches His Plane
These 55mm progressive springs should do the trick. Stock shock is 185mm x 55mm. https://www.jensonusa.com/Cane-Creek-Valt-Coil-Spring-Progressive-Rate-3?loc=usa&pt_source=googleads&pt_medium=cpc&pt_campaign=&pt_keyword=&gclid=Cj0KCQjw_4-SBhCgARIsAAlegrU9gm5tVK64RMd9w-PmejXGgzS9uKgeuPTyhTjuoZ-w89UdT3a6izgaAhw_EALw_wcB

Spotted: Remi Thirion's New Giant Glory for the Lourdes DH World Cup 2022
@DHhack: For sure, they probably sell hundreds, or thousands of Trances for every Glory sold.

Spotted: Remi Thirion's New Giant Glory for the Lourdes DH World Cup 2022
Older Glory + Trunnion mount + bridged rocker link. Basically adopting all the design language from the 2017 and newer Trances/Reigns like the rest of the line. Funny how most companies innovate their DH bike first, but in Giant's case, it was the 2017 Trance that was the proof-of-concept.

14 More Bikes That Could See an Update in 2022
I think the Reign 'needs' a little more rear wheel travel, just for product differentation within the product line. At 146mm, it only has 11mm more travel than the Trance X 29, and 1mm more travel than the new Trance X 27.5 (which has a slacker head angle as well). FWIW, I just bought a 2018 Reign and I wouldn't want any less travel for really chunky sections of gnar. Pedals pretty alright too. I passed 2 Ripmos and 2 Santa Cruzes today on the climb. I realize that the 29er rear wheel adds some plushness too, but 146mm is on the small side for Enduro and very close (too close IMO) to other bikes in Giant's model range.

I pretty much agree with your comment, I think that some of these new "upgrades" on new bikes aren't really worth the asking price(12 speed vs 11). The Giant Reign is the only bike on their list that I feel "needs" a change, because a lot of people felt like the drop in rear travel from 160-145 was kind of a bummer.

14 More Bikes That Could See an Update in 2022
@Will-narayan: If the tracks got less steep and more pedally they would start using super-enduros. Also, DH bikes are more "capable," enduro bikes are more "versatile."
