Cicli Lazzaretti holds a special place in my heart, as I visited the shop during a 2011 trip to Rome with my late mother. The shop at one time built fantastic steel frames, assembled with Columbus tubing, and this is a great example. I've built the bike up with Campagnolo Chorus 8-speed gruppo, as well as a set of the company's Delta wheels, and 3T stem/bars. Imported from the Netherlands, the frame has been professionally restored and looks like new! The company founded by history's most dominant pro cyclist has assembled this frame with Columbus SL/SP steel tubing. A friend is cleaning out his collection and asked me to list some bikes for him, since I have connections with my business. This bike, with paint in exceptional condition, has been built up as a single speed with Campagnolo Record and Chorus components and a set of Mavic CXP33 wheels. The frameset, assembled in Italy by Billato, is made of Excell Podium steel tubing from France and includes a Mondonico fork. NOTE: Ignore the little pieces of bar tape Walt had attached temporarily to the frame - he did this to protect the frame from the handlebars turning into it during storage. The tape will come off easily.
