October delivers our third round of finalists for the GoPro Line of the World Contest. This year, you are the judge and will decide who will be this month's winners. The Pinkbike audience will vote on these 10 videos, and the edit with the most votes takes home the first prize of $1,200. Second place will receive $800, and third wins a sweet GoPro HERO4 Black Edition. At the end of the five months, all top three monthly edits will go into a bracket challenge and an overall winner will be selected.
I forgot to breathe, I didnt realize it until that last bridge section, just amazing stuff, give thisman the money - hell take some of mine that is what mtb means!
Steve storey (#1) is always chosen in the top 10, props to him ! (A friend of the jury?? ). IMO this stabilisation is too much, hard to stay awake watching that , i prefer no stabilized
I voted for barelli! He and finn are so fckin fast
@philthee@jfett I was using the GoPro hero 4 Black on a Z1 Ryder 2 gimbal.
@RedBurn - Haha, thanks man! Not sure who the jury is so I don't think there's any favouritism. I like to think it's the hard work I put into building the lines
@red720 - cheers pal! The last 3 entries were my work but the 1st one was the work of several other very talented trail builders.
@stevestorey: how do you go about building all your trails in the whistler valley? do you need permission or anything, or are yo allowed to just go into the woods and dig freely?
Thanks for the props dudes! I also have a video of the line Dustin hit if you guys would rather see that? Although he rode it really smoothly and fast. The two zones are both steep and exposed but totally different to ride.
@FrozenTreads56: www.pinkbike.com/video/458621 Didn't enter it cause I thought the Green River line was more raw and original! That's the same line Dustin rode! I started a bit higher and took a different line at the bottom. Also he killed it in the style department so I'm glad I didn't enter this one haha
@keeqan: ay i actually enjoyed the green river line more. just seemed people liked dustin's line better- more votes i guess. I liked the snow day vid of yours to!
@mmfood: Lunch line is one of the original lines at the first Rampage site. I believe a lady ripped that and entered it last year or the year before as her line. It's really sick with a ton of options.
@rockymountainsrule: Awesome, loved the line! I couldn't tell if it had been worn from people walking up it or from bikes, everything was pretty rain rutted out when we were there. Brutal hike up hahah
I see that my decision does go with the majority. I love Steve Storey´s Star Wars like run through Endors forest. Maybe a new dicipline? Endoro? Big Grin
My second fav was Yoann Barelli for showing young man in pure fun - talking weird sentence fragments and making weird sounds presenting that they are enjoying this piece of trail at its best. My two favs!
This has to be one of the most competitive months period. Absolutely insane videos; It seems unfair to prior entries.
I'm super stoked to see everyone else felt the same about #1. I had to watch it over and over because it feels like you're there. It captures mountain biking in a way we can ALL actually relate to. Absolutely amazing.
Damn. All of it. That drop at the end of Dustin Schaad's line was intense! And obviously Steve Story's stabilized footage is badass, I showed that to my friends that don't ride to help explain what mountain biking feels like.
