None of these made me want to ride my bike more than #1
  • 5 1
 Couldn't agree more.
  • 4 0
Totally agree. That gimbal shot is awesome. Handlebars pinging all over the place. Doesn't hurt that the tail looks wicked fun
  • 2 1
I forgot to breathe, I didnt realize it until that last bridge section, just amazing stuff, give thisman the money - hell take some of mine that is what mtb means!
  • 2 0
How did his video come out so smooth? Was he wearing a gimbal or something that kept the camera from bouncing?
  • 1 2
only the first one....the rest is boooooooring.
  • 1 0
@thorsbane: I used a gimbal to stabilize the camera.
  • 20 1
phenomenal stabilization on #1, somewhere in BC?
  • 9 1
We need to know what gimbal that dude has
  • 6 0
Flat out... nice gimbal... no pedal... This line should be called the Fast Lane. Awesome.
  • 15 12
Steve storey (#1) is always chosen in the top 10, props to him ! (A friend of the jury?? ). IMO this stabilisation is too much, hard to stay awake watching that , i prefer no stabilized

I voted for barelli! He and finn are so fckin fast
  • 3 0
I'd love to know the stabilization technique as well.
  • 2 0
@RedBurn: Dude seems to always have the sweetest singletrack
  • 12 0
@nhlpat - Correcto, SW BC to be a bit mor exact

@philthee @jfett I was using the GoPro hero 4 Black on a Z1 Ryder 2 gimbal.

@RedBurn - Haha, thanks man! Not sure who the jury is so I don't think there's any favouritism. I like to think it's the hard work I put into building the lines Wink

@red720 - cheers pal! The last 3 entries were my work but the 1st one was the work of several other very talented trail builders.

@jfett: Gopro gimbals. Pricey but worth it.
  • 3 0
@stevestorey: killed that beautiful line. Love to make it there some time
  • 1 0
@stevestorey: Awesome. looked like you were in a low flying plane!
  • 1 0
@Gmang: thanks, I really appreciate it. We put a lot of work into the trail and love that people are stoked on it.
  • 1 0
@stevestorey that video is killer! Wicked stabilization, need to get gimbal
  • 2 0
@stevestorey: how do you go about building all your trails in the whistler valley? do you need permission or anything, or are yo allowed to just go into the woods and dig freely?
  • 1 0
@STINKY-MINTY-1: these trails are rad, loamy soil is so easy to work with... i wish every forest in the world was like that
  • 2 0
@RedBurn: all their whooping gets on my tits
  • 14 0
Keegan Holme - the guy basically did his own Rampage - huge props!
  • 9 1
are you sure you are not talking about dustin schaad?
  • 1 2
 @lumpfboldbiker121yeah dustin schaad 4sure
  • 1 0
@lumpfboldbiker121: I hadn't watched Dustin's video yet, but yeah - even better and looks like the actual Rampage location.
  • 3 0
Thanks for the props dudes! I also have a video of the line Dustin hit if you guys would rather see that? Although he rode it really smoothly and fast. The two zones are both steep and exposed but totally different to ride.
  • 2 0
@keeqan: duuude your a beast! you should enter dustin's line next month man. love it!!
  • 1 0
@FrozenTreads56: www.pinkbike.com/video/458621 Didn't enter it cause I thought the Green River line was more raw and original! That's the same line Dustin rode! I started a bit higher and took a different line at the bottom. Also he killed it in the style department so I'm glad I didn't enter this one haha
  • 2 0
@keeqan: ay i actually enjoyed the green river line more. just seemed people liked dustin's line better- more votes i guess. I liked the snow day vid of yours to!
  • 3 0
@mmfood: Lunch line is one of the original lines at the first Rampage site. I believe a lady ripped that and entered it last year or the year before as her line. It's really sick with a ton of options.
  • 1 0
i built that green river line!!!! hahah it's a fun one @keeqan
  • 1 0
@rockymountainsrule: Awesome, loved the line! I couldn't tell if it had been worn from people walking up it or from bikes, everything was pretty rain rutted out when we were there. Brutal hike up hahah

I see that my decision does go with the majority. I love Steve Storey´s Star Wars like run through Endors forest. Maybe a new dicipline? Endoro? Big Grin

My second fav was Yoann Barelli for showing young man in pure fun - talking weird sentence fragments and making weird sounds presenting that they are enjoying this piece of trail at its best. My two favs!

This has to be one of the most competitive months period. Absolutely insane videos; It seems unfair to prior entries.

I'm super stoked to see everyone else felt the same about #1. I had to watch it over and over because it feels like you're there. It captures mountain biking in a way we can ALL actually relate to. Absolutely amazing.
  • 1 0
Thanks man! Glad to see it really hitting home with people. That trail has been a huge passion of mine.
  • 5 0
Yoann always sounds like he is super stoked with life! Fair enough really, dream job. Also, I could watch Steve Storey ride for a very long time.
  • 1 0
 Thanks Sam, appreciate the props!
  • 7 1
I want to put #1 on a loop and just leave it up on my TV forever.
  • 3 0
 PC screen saver
  • 2 0
Damn. All of it. That drop at the end of Dustin Schaad's line was intense! And obviously Steve Story's stabilized footage is badass, I showed that to my friends that don't ride to help explain what mountain biking feels like.
  • 3 0
Yoann + Claudio + Rob course previews would be the perfect balance of shrieks of joy, shrieks of fear, and cursing like a sailor.
  • 6 1
wow. all those vids were pretty damn good. way to go everyone.
  • 2 0
Yoann Barelli's commentary is infectious, but had to go with #1. Full Endor-speeder-bike mode.
  • 1 0
Well said. I love how animated Yoann is. It is hard to imagine anyone else is having more fun.
  • 2 0
Steve made me want to ride while Schaad made me pucker!
