Confirmed: Cannondale's New Downhill Bike Has 2 Shocks
Running a linear damping linkage and a progressive spring linkage seems to be unnecessary in my opinion. You can easily affect spring progressivity on an air shock by changing the volume of the positive air chamber. Running a linear frame with a progressive air spring (or a dual rate coil spring) would yield nearly the same results. The only application that would be hard to replicate would be the opposite: progressive damping and linear spring rate. But I dont think that anyone would want to run such a setup as most vehicles rely on progressive spring rates for bottom out control (in addition to hydraulic or mechanical bottom out damping/bumpers). To me this makes the impression that cannondale wants to market something as new and innovative, that in fact is just a complicated way to do something that is already easily achievable by other means.

Looks like a scratch in the paint. Or is it a crack? How did that happen?

@Groscreux: Ah, ok, thanks for the answer! Did YT confirm a frame crack or was it just paint cracks?

Again? How did that happen? Did YT say anything about that? It seems to be a common place for a TUES to crack.

Propain Rage CF Downhill Bike - Eurobike 2016
@mopedmann: Suspension design of the solid strike is actually way older than those of propains rage cf. If you take a look at the doubledragon destructor/ reichmann engineering rip you will see that the engineer responsible for the suspension of the solid strike has developed his design far earlier than propain. (When propain still used their split seattube-design) In addition to that the designs are quite different (floating shock vs fixed shock on one side, constant low progressivity vs high progressivity at the end of travel (rage cf - strike)). So claiming that solid grabed their suspension idea from propain is plain wrong.

Did you crack your replacement frame or is it the same frame as before?
