It has been quite possibly one of the best long weekends in recent memory as I was able to get away to the promised land of beautiful British Columbia's interior region. Over a few rad days a team of 6 of us managed to cover four new riding zones encompassing the towns of Revelstoke, Salmon Arm and Kamloops. With riders varying from notice to advanced, we managed to have a great time together on the trails and in all, I logged over 2400m of climbing and descent on the trip with no shuttles and in the beating summer heat! We also managed to log a number of hours in the cold alpine lakes and crushed a bunch of cold and tasty local beers.

If you are looking for some great summer places and trail to try for yourself, I would highly recommend the track called Crowbar in Revelstoke as a great technical rider that includes tough descents as well as random short climbs. Better yet, the Rubberhead trail network in Salmon Arm had nice fast DH trails, which were dusty, loose and fast as hell! I enjoyed Meatgrinder the most. Last but not least, Harper Mountain in Kamloops was incredible...the riding just got better and better as I tried out tracks. Unicorn DH & Nate's were great, but the Gnarwhal was one of the steepest trails that i have ever ridden outside of the UCI DH course in Vallnord, Andorra. it is a must!!!!

Here are a few samples of the awesomeness that was this past weekend.

what a hard and hot climb
getting near the end after eating my dust
early am climb up getting ready to drop in and roll
the start of something fun

I know that I haven't gotten my European exploits up quite yet, but they will be ready shortly. I have just been so busy crushing it on the trails!

PS: If you'd like to connect, flip me a note here or follow along with my exploits on instagram!

As my friend Adam Barnett says, get back on your bike!
