@sideshowb: No need to act like it's a favour. These guys get paid for it. I think the point was that it's a shame they don't build things of this level that anyone can ride. Though I'm sure our health and safety mad country is more to blame than peoples willingness to build. You understand entirely why countries like Canada throw out more pros than we do when you see the level difference in facilities.
There are some places with stuff like this popping up around the country now, the 50:01 line at Revolution, Black Mountains and Woody's bike park are a few examples. But as far as I'm aware it's not possible to have a 'ride at your own risk' policy in the UK, so you're always going to be at risk of being sued if someone feels they have a case.
@holdandhope: What features specifically? They're all beyond me anyway but some of the blacks, and the two pro lines at BPW have pretty enormous jumps. Van Road has some gaps with steep take offs. Bottom of Cwmcarn downhill has 10m tabletops that really throw you upwards. 4x track at Redhill (not Rowan's I know) has some pretty big options. 417 Project and Rampworld if you fancy heading indoors. Haven't been yet but Black Mountains Cycle Centre supposed to be pretty good on the jump front.
...grass is always greener on the other side eh
