I had the privilege of designing my own paint design on the all-new Epic EVO, so took the time to come up with something which truly reflects me and which I will cherish for years to come!

This is a really awesome and personal opportunity which Specialized give to their athletes and ambassadors. Kayla Clarot, Specialized’s Graphic Designer, worked her magic with my scribbles and ideas, and together this is what we came up with! The new Epic Evo is already a dream bike, so to customise it in such a personal way is the icing on the cake. A big thank you to Specialized and Kayla for making a dream bike a reality! Now, let the adventures begin!

Frame: Epic Evo, size Medium. This is custom painted to reflect some of the simple things which make me happy, other than riding of course!
Drivetrain: Sram XX1 12 speed, Sram Eagle 30T chainring, Sram XX1 cranks.
Suspension: Fox 34, 120 mm. Compared to the Epic, the EVO ups the fork travel from 100mm to 120mm. The shock is a RockShox Micro Brain shock w/ Spike Valve & AUTOSAG.

Dropper: Specialized Command Post with 125mm drop.
Saddle: Women’s S-Works Power Saddle with MIMIC technology.
Wheels: Roval Control Carbon wheels 29.
Tires: A grippy 2.3" Ground Control at the front and a stiffer Fast Trak at the rear with GRID protection at the sidewalls.

Brakes: Magura MT8 Cross Country
Grips: Supacaz Grizips
Bars: Specialized S-Works MTB low rise, cut to 740mm
Stem: Specialized XC Stem 75mm
Pedals: HT T1
Fender: MuckyNutz Hannah Barnes signature edition.

It’s time to turn off the computer and hit the trails!

Hannah Barnes is such a great ambassador for Specialized or mountainbiking in general, I really like her style. The paintjob on the bike really is cool too!

even without the graphics that paint job is awesome!

Now that Pinkbike has a dog reporter, can we get some dog checks? Starting with Hannah's beautiful Aussie?

What about all the pussies in the world? I want a trail cat!

I was in the same starting bracket with her last year at BCBR, she was always super cool, seemed genuinely happy to be there. Great ambassador for specialized and women's mountain biking. Good on yah Hanna.

why is the video so washed out? Looks like a mistake. Bike looks awesome, nonetheless.

I can barely see it through the desaturated hazy instagram filter on the edit!

She is such an inspiration for my girlfriend as a rider. The design fits her personality just perfectly.

 Inspiration for anyone mate

The internet moans big-time when a company makes a ladies bike by "shrink it and pink it". Then one of the fastest women in the world chooses to do just that... Each to their own, but even my 8 year old daughter would say that's too girly!
  • + 1
 I'd ride it.
  • + 3
When any person/company/industry generalizes and fits their idea of women into a category of "shrink and pink" it is definitely a bad thing... not all women are soft, flowery, and pink. And it seems your daughter would agree.

When and INDIVIDUAL chooses to celebrate their femininity, whether it is fighting 4 rounds of MMA or painting their bike pink, then all is well.

So like if Spesh was releasing this frame as their new WSD, then yeah, ugly stereotype. But since Hannah the person was like "this is me, this is what I am", then a good ole fashion "you go girl" is appropriate.

Wow specialized thought of everything! First the glove box now they put a tent in the frame.

Great looking bike and fantastic ambassador. But doesn't the rear of the bike look a little ping-ey off some of those bigger rocks? I guess it's only 100mm travel and she probably runs it pretty stiff.
  • + 1
It's more pew pew pewing off the rocks

Nice work, Hannah! with love from Ricky Murph and Penny

OMG slow pan. Nice bike, though.

 trikonasana for days

Anyone know which trail she is riding?
  • + 2
Its called the Ciaran Path in Kinlochleven, Scotland. I actually rode behind Hannah on that trail during an enduro race a couple years ago.

 Nice background music!

Specialized horst link patent runs out: They stop using it on a lot of bikes, everyone else starts.
  • + 5
A lot of bikes? The Epic is the only one, and it has a flex-pivot so it still acts like a horsey link.
  • + 1
@cassonwd: I guess the FSR Epic pivots only rotated 3mm or so, so by going to a flex stay they saved like 300g.
