Nov 19, 2016Giant Glory (large) Downhill Bike
$550 GBPGiant Glory 2008,
Had the bike over a year to get back into biking. Sticker bomb to death for a unique look but by all means pull it right off if it's not your cup of tea. Now selling to upgrade.
Spec as follows:
Frame: Giant Glory, size large.
Forks: Fox 40 RC2 tuned and serviced at 'Bounce Cycles' this year.
Rear Shock: Fox DHX5 tuned at J-Tech
Brakes: Formula R1 (bought new from crc (rrp £418))
Bars: Atherton Star Series, low ride
Stem: hope integrated
Seat: fun camo
Seat clamp: hope
Cranks: Shimano Saint
Derailleur: Shimano Saint
Shifter: Shimano Decore XT rapidfire
Headset: FSA (recently changed)
Chain Guide: E-Thirteen
Hubs: Sun Ringle Abbah DH
Rims: Mavic EX729
New rear tyre recently
New rear disc at same time.
Frame bearings changed this year
The bike is not without its faults (hence the price) and I'm honest enough to point them out.
-The rear rim has a bit of a flat spot
-chain guide is damage on the upper side but still works (will probably need replacing)
-the rear derailleur wobbles when you grab it with your hand but don't know if it's a simple fix or not (not the frame or hanger just the component). Still flicks through the gears and it doesn't jump.
-the shifter sticks a bit when changing down but after a bit of WD today it retracted fine, might be some mud in the cable.
-And finally there is a plenty of paint chips on the rear triangle. Has never bothered me but you might want it respraying.
