The Mountain Bike Tourist: Quebec Road Trip Part Four - Vallée Bras-du-Nord
Unlike BC, most destinations in Quebec are charging an access fees to cover maintenance and insurance. Vallée Bras du Nord is not only managing mountain biking, but all kind of outdoor activities over 260km of trails. You might have to pay 15$/day, but you get all the gravy for that price!

@Adamrideshisbike: The Neilson Nord is 7km, South is 3km. Currently, you have to climb a dirt road to reach the beginning of Neilson North. In few weeks, we're opening the newest addition of the Neilson (+7km) with an added optional loop of 2km of black-diamond on the top of the hill. That section is accessible by climbing a little shorter dirt road, but more intense. Details to be published pretty soon :) When my crew will be done with the Neilson, we expect to have between 32 and 34km of continuous singletrack. Jerome Sentiers Boréals

About 8 years ago, you had to walk your bike but not anymore since the bridge was enlarged to 5ft wide to accommodate a quad for safety and opration consideration.

Timo, the JDA was "upgraded" last year and is now pleasant coming down too. Maitrise/JDA/Chainon/+++ is a pretty neat combo. -Jerome

Racing Icon is IMBA's New Leader
AJ is still interim director so in short, the answer is no, Lora haven't been replaced yet. While I agree there's a place for a national advocacy organisation, each region have developed so much that it feels like IMBA Canada just missed the boat. NSMBA, Velo-Qubec and few other are full-blown "chapter" and could be great partner, but IMBA is lacking the leadership to keep going and need to review its mission/vision to maintain its role. That being said, the I of IMBA is still their biggest struggle. There's nothing international in IMBA if you don't want to collaborate with the rest of the worlld. IMBA Canada website was down a good part of the week because IMBA USA didn't want to renew the DNS record. Still some major management issues to address on that part.
