After several days of rain the weather cooperated today giving riders just enough time to get two runs in before the skies opened up again. In that few hours riders and course workers hastily prepared the course and managed to get some practice in and the contest done! Brandon Semenuk really wants to win the FMB World Tour this year, after losing out last year due to injury at Crankworx. He his on a winning rampage; this is his second FMB Gold event win of the season, and his third consecutive win of the year. If he continues like this, he'll be challenging Yannick Granieri, Sam Pilgrim, and Martin Soderstrom for the overall series lead fairly soon... With his 2nd place finish here Yannick Granieri has moved into 1st place overall knocking out past leader Sam Pilgrim for the first time. Kyle Strait bobbled on his first run but through down a great second run for third place. Greg Watts had a great first run but was unable to do a second due to injury, his 4th place finish here should move him solidly into the top 10 overall. Mitch Chubey looked like he was having the run of the day on his second run but lost it 3 jumps from the bottom when he didn't land both pedals and ended up 5th, good enough to keep him in the top group on the overall scoreboard and even move himself up into 4th.

For those of you that missed the live webcast you can watch it again on the Claymore website

So sick to watch this all live! Anthony was pushing things hard and went down in the process, but I am expecting great things from him in the future. Kyle Strait is looking on form and proving to be one of the most diverse riders out there - nice work man! Great work to everyone at Highlands MTB Park and congrats to Semenuk on the 3peat!

  • 1 0
Yeah, bretts first run deserved a way higher score
  • 1 0
yea i thought it was at least top 6 run
  • 4 0
I think Yannick got robbed too, His run was waaaay smoother than Semenuk's and Semenuk did slip a pedal. however though, congrats Semenuk for the 3rd time in a row win.
  • 2 0
Yannick and Brandon's runs were quite similar except for the red bull jump and pb double; Yannick did a flipwhip and superflip, Brandon did a Tuck No and Flipwhip. The only other notable advantage was Brandon 360ing out of the double dish while Yannick just table'd it.
  • 3 0
i think semenuks second run deserved a higher score than his first. it was nicer, but yannicks run also deserved higher imo too
  • 3 0

  • 1 0
Same here, I was so exited and then missed it completely. I didn't even see the classic clock on the homepage, the one that indicates when the live stream begins. Was still it there?
  • 1 0
There wasn't a clock, which I'm guessing was due to the fact that they were unsure of when the event was actually going to start due to all the weather delays and such.
  • 1 0
