Mont Saint Anne World Cup 2011 - Qualifying Results

Tracy Moseley and Greg Minnaar had the fastest qualifying times on the DH track at Mont Saint Anne today, followed by Floriane Pugin and Rachel Atherton for the women, Aaron Gwin and Josh Bryceland for the men. The weather here was constantly changing with fog coming in and out, and even the occasional minute or two of sun, but the rain held off and track conditions stayed mostly the same throughout qualifying. And Greg may or may not have crashed in his run, depends if you believe the Frenchman, but he completely killed the speed trap coming through almost 1 km/h ahead of second fastest rider Steve Smith. Stevie started slow though and ended up 8th in qualifying. Steve Peat had the 63rd slowest speed, just about doing a feeble grind over the wood through the speed trap. He made up speed quickly though, and finished 11th in qualifying.

I don't think qualifying first is a priority for Gwin, you have to save something for the final run, nothing wrong with qualifying top ten and smoking everyone on race day, Go Gwin!

You gotta look at Gwins split times. 1st, 1st, and 2nd. finished down by 1.3 seconds. He just has to put that bottom section together and he has another win in the bag. Come on Gwin, Gotta do it for the USA!!

Come on Gwin you got this!!! whooop on those canadians like no other!!!
  • 1 0
Why would you single out Canadians? That's kind of a retarded statement. The only Canadian contender is Steve Smith and like the USA, we haven't had a top ten rider in WC for years.
  • 1 0
