Whitestyle 2012 - Sam Pilgrim qualifies first!
Qualifying went well with Sam Pilgrim pulling out a stunning run to finish in first.
Sam Reynolds run went well with a sick flip off the step down as well.
The Light was fading fast and riders had to adjust to almost "lit" night conditions and that meant the media pulled out all the stops and grab their flashes. On a first count there were at least 15 around the step down, and also 10 around the final landing.
For even more amusement when one fired his flash everyone else's flashes went off randomly. This was a headache and added to the drama of trying to catch the riders going big, sometimes you missed the shot because someone else's flash took your power. You can see the flash farm in some of the pics.

It's interesting to me that even though the course is one of the biggest of the year, most of the riders seem to be on hardtails. If this was a dirt course, I'd expect to see everyone on short-travel fullys, I guess the snow must have some give to it.

I would say it's more likely the hardtail sticks better in the snow
ive ridden both in snow and prefer a hartail
