Windham World Cup Finals Day 1

Aug 27, 2010 at 10:45
by Ian Hylands
Riding started at the World Cup Finals at Windham Mountain in New York today with Downhill and XC practice Yesterday. 4X practice was scheduled, but was cancelled due to the wet muddy conditions on the course. It rained hard for 4 days, but yesterday was warm and dry and the course dried up a fair bit.

Video and photos inside,From the mud in the beginning of the day to the drier conditions at the end of the day everyone was pretty happy with the track. Sam Hill seems to be back and in good form, although only the race itself will really tell how he's doing. Kyle Strait was practicing as well with a brace on his hand after his injury in Val di Sole, but seemed to be in a bit of pain on the rougher parts of the course. Greg Minaar had a bit of mishap and injured his arm with a little worry that he might be done, but he was back on the track for practice this morning.

Qualifying starts shortly, more photos tonight...

their in the least redneck part of new york state ever! they should go up to lake placid area if they think thats redneck! the areas surrounding the 'dacks get way rougher! and the riding is way tighter up north!
