@davec113: I advise against riding very far with Cush core and a flat. I rode out a short section of trail and then found a nice little hole worn in the chainstay from tire rub. So the rim was good to go but my swing arm not so much. YMMV
Also I didn’t hear or notice this rub or I would’ve stopped.

Don’t trust Specialized back in the 90s they said their steerer tubes “didn’t need to be lager than one inch, and will not be changing.” Back then everyone except Cannondale had moved to 1 1/8” and Cannondale was using 1 1/4” and look where we are now.
