Specialized Demo 7 II (M)

$1000 CAD
The Betty White of bikes; she's old but she can still take a pounding and show you a good time! Perfect for balling on a budget or anyone curious about the sport and looking to try out downhill mountain biking without dropping an arm and a leg. This bike still holds it's own at any of the big resorts and won't disappoint. Purchased in the spring of 2009 on clearance from Specialized, I've been the one and only owner of this valiant steed. I've worked part-time as a mechanic at various bike shops for most of the time I've had the bike, so it's always been well maintained and serviced. In the spring of 2012 I completely disassembled the bike and had the frame professionally prepped and painted to turn it in to the murdered out monster you see now. All frame bearings were replaced with both shocks rebuilt at this time. Also replaced the wheel set, cassette, chain, derailleur, saddle, handlebars and pedals at this time (see full component list below). In the spring of 2012, shortly after rebuilding the bike, I tore my ACL, MCL and meniscus. Between my injury and post-secondary, I didn't really ride this bike again until 2015. In 2015 I rode it for 2 weeks in Whistler. In 2016 I rode it for 1 week in Whistler. In 2017 I've ridden it 1 day in Fernie. Bike was just disassembled, cleaned up and serviced as shown in photos on September 17, 2017. This bike has been good to me over the years but my riding focus has shifted with time and I just really don't take the DH girl out enough anymore. Hoping to find her a good home and put the money towards something I'll use more frequently.
